Killington Resort Hosts Food Drive to Support Local Communities

Killington Resort has joined forces with local farmers to support its community, distributing 700 prepackaged grocery bags of food and provisions to community members, employees of local Killington businesses, and its own employees.

The prepackaged bags contained meats, vegetables, eggs, produce, and breads, as well as surplus milk from Thomas Dairy and Vermont Farmstead cheese. The groceries were loaded into the trunks of waiting cars, in accordance with CDC guidelines.

This is the first public grocery giveaway Killington has held, after a giveaway for resort employees held in mid-March. There's more, too: The resort is teaming up with the Town of Killington and Castleton University to open a food pantry, according to an April 17 press release
