Kai Jones and Fellow ‘Pressure Drop’ Athletes Heading to Andorra for the Ultimate Freeride Showdown

The final roster for the inaugural FIS Freeride World Championships in Andorra has dropped, featuring TGR athletes like Kai Jones, Kelly Hilleke, Mia Jones and Molly Armanino ready to compete for the world title in Ordino Arcalís.

The countdown is officially on for the inaugural FIS Freeride World Championships. This landmark event for big mountain action will take place in Ordino Arcalís, Andorra, in February 2026. A roster of 66 top riders has been finalized, and the lineup includes some familiar names from the TGR family.

TGR Athletes Locked In

The FIS Freeride World Championships is the pinnacle of the sport, and it’s no surprise that TGR athletes are a crucial part of the field. These riders have already proven their elite status, and now they are taking on the world stage. Specifically, four notable athletes with strong ties to TGR have qualified for the prestigious event.

First up is the young gun, Kai Jones. Competing in the Ski Men category, Jones earned his spot as a Group 4 Wildcard. Known worldwide for his groundbreaking TGR film segments, the big-mountain prodigy now makes his highly anticipated debut on the major freeride competition circuit in Andorra. This championship marks a new chapter as he channels his trademark power, speed, and creative airs into the intense, single-run format. We can’t wait to see him charge into this new challenge.

In the Snowboard Women’s field, Mia Jones joins the roster after qualifying through the Group 3 NSA Quota. A powerful and confident rider, Jones has showcased exceptional skill and flow to earn her place among the world’s best. Representing the U.S., she’s ready to bring her technical precision and calculated line choice to the high-stakes environment of the championships. She’s definitely one to watch in Andorra.

In the Ski Women’s field, keep an eye on Molly Armanino. She qualified through the Group 1 Pro Ranking, proving her place among the world’s best. Armanino skis with power and precision, consistently delivering high-scoring, committed lines on exposed faces.

Finally, Kelly Hilleke joins the Ski Men competitors after qualifying through the Group 2 Continental Quotas. He’s known for his smooth, fluid style on even the most intimidating lines. Hilleke earned his spot and is ready to represent in Andorra, bringing a thoughtful approach and exciting maneuvers to the mountain.

Organizers will select the competition day within a six-day weather window to ensure ideal conditions for the athletes.
