Jesse Melamed’s POV Shows the Physical Side of Enduro Racing

Enduro racing, especially at a pro level, really is a true test of fitness and bike skills. Sure, downhill racing takes some serious chops and a whole lot of cojones, but enduro racing mixes the gnar with pushing your physical fitness to its limits. Jesse Melamed really shows off that side of the sport in his POV from the Crankworx Summer Series enduro race at Silver Star earlier this week. The tracks aren’t super gnarly, as they’re mostly smooth jump trails, but that means he’s flat-out pedaling for the majority of each stage.

As one of the undisputed masters of the sport, Melamed put down a heater of a run that landed him in sixth place. For anyone who thinks that enduro racing is a lazy person’s sport, think again!
