Jamie Anderson Stomps Slopestyle Win at Dew Tour
Popular Stories
Pro Snowboarder Jamie Anderson stole center podium at Dew Tour on Saturday—to no one’s surprise but her own. The new Slopestyle format separated the jibs and jumps into two stand alone competitions, and the overall winner was to-be determined by her combined score. A storm led to the Big Air being canceled, and Anderson still swept the win.
“I don’t think I’ve ever won a rail jam, so I’m pretty stoked,” she told Dew Tour. Despite any initial skepticism, Anderson pulled out laidback style and technical tricks, which racked up progressively higher points for the win.
In her last lap, she went big from the get-go: Anderson dropped in switch to the flat-down rail and threw a cab tail switch-up to a back tail. After landing strong, she took a frontside 270 on the down rail, and sent a 50-50 off the pole jam, which launched her into a 50-50 slide on top of the Toyota cage—plus a stalefish off for style. Her final trick was a tail slide to fakie on the flat to down kink rail for a 91.33 score.
