Jackson Hole’s Tram Reopening for the Summer

Calling all late-season skiers, early-season hikers, and general sightseers! Jackson Hole's Tram, "Big Red," is reopening for the summer. Starting Saturday, May 18th, visitors will be able to ride the tram 4,139 vertical feet to the top of Rendezvous Mountain, 10,450 feet above sea level. Online tickets will cost adults $33 till early season pricing ends on June 8th.

Late season skiing is accessible from the top of the tram, with many people choosing to take laps on Cody Peak. Getting to the base can be more of a struggle depending on snow-cover, so be sure to bring your rock skis. While we wouldn't recommend copying them, some folks take advantage of the late-season snow to try ridiculous stunts like biking down Corbet's Couloir:
