Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Launches 60th Anniversary Faction Ski
Popular Stories
It's been one wild ride. For six decades, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has served as the epicenter of big-mountain skiing in North America, carving out a legendary reputation defined by the Aerial Tram and the infamous Corbet's Couloir. To honor this monumental 60th anniversary season, JHMR has pulled out all the stops and launched a special-edition collaboration with Faction Skis.
This isn't just a collector's item; it's a finely tuned tool of freeride expression.
A Canvas Built for Charging
The limited-edition ski is built on the award-winning Faction Dancer 3 platform. As a 106mm-waisted freeride machine, the Dancer 3 is renowned for its blend of playfulness and stability. It is constructed with a lightweight poplar core, fortified by two sheets of Titanal. This dual-metal build ensures the ski remains smooth and stable, especially when you need to go full gas and blast through crud or variable snow conditions.
The Dancer 3 is a perfect daily driver for Jackson's steep terrain and deep snow. It features a traditional flat tail design built for speed and edge grip, modernized with a slight rocker to keep it from hooking up in fresh powder. In short, it’s built to charge.
Local Art, Legendary Icons
The real head-turner is the custom top sheet, which pays perfect homage to Jackson Hole's legacy. The graphic was created by local ultra-marathon runner and artist, Kelly Halpin. Halpin, a multidisciplinary mountain athlete, drew inspiration from the Teton Range.
The artwork features the iconic Jackson Hole Aerial Tram. This Tram is depicted floating right over the legendary Corbet's Couloir and the Tetons themselves. It’s a graphic that captures the electric energy of a Tram lap.
