It's the JHMR 60th Anniversary!
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is celebrating six decades of big lines and culture this winter, and they’re doing it in style. On Friday, December 19, 2025, the exact date the resort opened in 1965, you can lap the Tetons for a bargain. For one day only, skiers and riders can score $60 lift tickets.
If you're interested, move fast. Tickets are available at the time of writing this article, but with a nearly 80% discount from peak season walk-up rates ($285), they'll more than likely sell out. Grab yours here.

Party on the Tram Dock
December 19 won’t just be about discount laps. Jackson Hole is throwing a proper anniversary party with live music, a block party, and a retro costume bash on the Tram Dock from 3–6 p.m. Expect neon stretch pants, one-piece suits, and some vintage rear-entry boots making a comeback.

60 Years of Progression
Jackson Hole is more than a ski resort. JHMR has been a cultural touchstone in the sport since its lifts starting spinning. From the moment Après Vous Mountain opened in ’65, through the addition of the Aerial Tram, and into the modern era, the mountain has shaped the way skiers and snowboarders think about steep terrain.
The resort’s 2,500 acres of in-bounds terrain include everything from wide-open powder fields to infamous lines like Corbet’s Couloir, one of skiing's most iconic inbound features. For pros, Corbet's is a veritable rite of passage.

For decades, Jackson Hole has also been a creative hub, helping shape the stories we tell about skiing. Countless TGR films have launched from this valley, cementing Jackson’s place in the freeride cannon.

Jackson's place on the freeride map is showing no signs of slowing, either. Part of TGR's 30th annual film, Pressure Drop, we just dropped our "Jackson Hole Locals" segment, showcasing the next generation of athletes carrying the torch. While gear and prices have certainly changed, Jackson Hole's rowdy mountain spirit is staying put.
More to Come This Season
The anniversary kick-off is just the start. Jackson Hole’s calendar is looking good this season, with the legendary Kings and Queens of Corbet’s set to run February 8–15, 2026. Get ready for deep powder and glorious laps on Big Red. Lifts are scheduled to start spinning November 28, 2025, conditions permitting.

One Day Only
Sure, single-day lift tickets are far from the most economical way to ski a mountain like Jackson Hole, but if you're not willing to shell out for a season pass, $60 is a bargain. Not to mention, you get to participate in a historical celebration. Whether you’re a die-hard local, a weekend road-tripper, or someone who’s always dreamed of skiing the Tetons, December 19 is one of the best chances you’ll get to step into Jackson’s legacy without breaking the bank.
Sixty years after opening, Jackson Hole is still pushing skiing forward, and still finding ways to throw a hell of a party. We can't wait.
