The wait is officially over. If you've been watching the charts, you know that the Canadian interior is currently the place to be. A massive atmospheric river followed by a polar push has turned the "Great White North" into a literal white room.

1. Revelstoke, BC: 187" (475 cm)

Revelstoke Mountain Resort is currently leading the charge with a massive 187” (475 cm) of cumulative snowfall. Just last week, the resort reported "free refills" all week long. With a 61” base on the upper mountain, the stoke is high as we head into the busiest weeks of the year.

2. Lake Louise, AB: 166" (421 cm)

Over in Alberta, Lake Louise is holding strong with 166” (421 cm). The resort opened Richardson's Ridge months ahead of schedule thanks to 113 cm (44”) falling in a single seven-day window. As of mid-December there are 141 runs open, three terrain parks and all 13 lifts spinning.

3. Whistler Blackcomb, BC: 156" (396 cm)

Whistler Blackcomb is holding its own with 156”, though a recent mix of precipitation means you’ll want your GORE-TEX dialed for these holiday laps. The resort currently boasts a 145 cm base, with 121 trails open and 15 lifts spinning, offering plenty of options across both mountains. While it’s not wall-to-wall powder every day, coverage is solid, terrain access is expanding, and Whistler’s sheer scale makes it easy to find quality turns if you’re willing to move around and time it right.

4. Powder King, BC: 155" (394 cm)

Meanwhile, the "King" of the North, Powder King, is sitting on 155” and a massive 242 cm (95”) base. With two of three lifts spinning and nearly all runs open, the mountain is skiing big, offering everything from wide-open fall lines to its signature tree shots.

5. Kicking Horse, BC: 150" (436 cm)

Kicking Horse rounds out the heavy hitters with 150”, having recently seen nearly two feet of fresh snow in a 24-hour period. Four of five lifts are running, giving access to most terrain, though only one bowl is open right now while the resort performs avalanche control on the others. Still, coverage is strong, and with fresh snow stacking up, Kicking Horse is serving up early-season turns that hint at epic conditions once all bowls are live.

Canada’s Holiday Snowfall Power Rankings

While much of North America struggles with inconsistent early-season snow, these five resorts across Interior BC and Alberta are proving that the north is delivering. From deep bases to fresh powder dumps, conditions are shaping up perfectly for holiday laps. Make sure your kit is dialed, beacon is on, and legs are ready—these mountains are where the snow is stacking, and the turns are calling.
