He’s 14, an Olympic Hopeful, and is Absolutely Destroying Snowboard Comps

If you haven't met Judd Henkes already, it's probably time for you to be introduced: Judd is 14 years old and stood 4' 11'' in this 2k15 edit. He's from La Jolla, California and the rest of his family described themselves as "beach people" in an interview with NBC Southern California. Yet, the little shredder rips Mammoth with the ease and confidence of someone who has been doing it for well over a decade (pretty incredible considering he hasn't had his first kiss yet, but hey, he's got his priorities in order). 

Henkes's father told NBC that he was a natural at snowboarding when he first started at age 4, or in the winter of 2006- indeed only a decade ago.

Henke most recently placed fifth in the U.S. Open Snowboarding Championship. 

“It’s kind of a cool contrast because you see these big guys, and then you see me,” Henke told NBC. 

Henke will be headed to China to compete with the top 50 snowboarders in the world for the World Championship. After that he hopes to qualify to the Olympics.
