Rafael Tapia must be made of steel, or probably actually rubber, because that tends to float. He survived one of the gnarliest wipeouts I have ever seen back in October, when he exploded at the bottom of a wave the size that only Nazaré could serve up. After getting towed into a monster wave, he hits an unexpected rough patch and then gets swallowed by a wave taller than most houses.
