HEAD | TYROLIA Joins the Freeride World Tour as Official Gear Supplier

The partnership kicks off with the inaugural 2026 FIS Freeride World Championships in Andorra.

The Freeride World Tour (FWT) has announced that HEAD | TYROLIA will be joining as the Official Supplier of the Tour ahead of the 2026 season. The brands will provide skis, boots, poles, and bindings for all FWT staff, helping them, well, run the contests.

The new partnership, which runs through 2028, will see HEAD | TYROLIA sponsoring all six FWT Pro stops each season. The collaboration officially launches this coming February at the first-ever FIS Freeride World Championships in Ordino Arcalís, Andorra.

Wedged between France and Spain, the tiny country, is a long-time proving ground for the world’s best gravity athletes in either season. In 2026, athletes will link together just one run to put up a score. Andorra will be a true test of line choice, control, and creativity on snow.

“The FWT is the biggest stage in competitive freeriding and the perfect partner for us to work together towards this common goal.”

-René Harrer, Vice President of HEAD | TYROLIA

Several HEAD athletes are already competing on the Tour, including Abel Moga, Jenna Keller, and Lena Kohler, with freeride icons Hedvig Wessel and Jess Hotter, both former champions, long representing the brand.

Trusted on the Steeps: When Gear is Protection

When the Freeride World Tour rolls into places like Alaska’s Chugach Range or the Swiss Alps, the riders aren’t the only ones putting their gear to the test. From officials perched on ridgelines to snow safety teams hauling gear through sketchy bootpacks, the Tour’s staff face many of the same hazards as the athletes themselves. In a sense, the staff needs the same level of equipment as the athletes.

“We are very excited to welcome HEAD as a new partner of the Freeride World Tour. HEAD’s expertise, strong activation power, and the high-level quality of products are major assets to support the development of the FWT and ensure the excellence of the Tour.”

-Nicolas Hale-Woods, FWT Founder and CEO

As the FWT’s new Official Supplier, the brands will equip the entire operations crew with skis, boots, poles, and bindings built to handle high-consequence terrain: think bulletproof mornings in Verbier and deep sluff days in Hakuba. The move highlights a shared experience familiar to both freeriders and film crews alike: when you’re working in the mountains, your gear isn’t just performance—it’s protection.

TGR’s production teams face similar challenges. Whether it’s shooting Pressure Drop in the Tetons or sending cameras deep into Alaska, the last thing you want to be worried about is your gear. Here's hoping the FWT team is stoked on their new kit.
