Get Ready for the 3rd Annual Ski in Jeans Day at Jackson Hole
Popular Stories
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) is famous for its thrilling terrain and authentic Western roots. It’s no surprise that a resort born in the rugged Teton Range would host an event as bold as Ski in Jeans Day. The third annual celebration is set for Friday, December 5, 2025. It’s more than a quirky holiday kickoff—it’s a high-energy tribute to ski culture, big mountain style, and world record-breaking fun.
A World Record Built on Denim
Skiing or riding in jeans has long been a quirky rite of passage in action sports. Jackson Hole took that tradition to new heights, setting, and then breaking, world records for the most people skiing or riding in denim. The resort’s second annual event drew 3,320 denim-clad participants, shattering the previous record. This year’s third attempt aims to take the denim-fueled chaos even higher.
Unbeatable Deals and Après-Ski Madness
If you needed more convincing, Ski in Jeans Day is also an opportunity to score an incredible deal on one of the wildest mountains in the West. For the event, single-day lift tickets will be available for just $35 or you can lock in a full three-day weekend ticket for only $199. Furthermore, guests wearing denim can get 50% off rentals at Teton Village Sports and JH Sports. Clearly, this is far more than an excellent excuse to debut your Canadian Tuxedo.
The adventure doesn't stop when the lifts close. The village will be buzzing with a full-on après-ski celebration. Festivities include the chance to ride a mechanical bull and cattle roping stations in the Village Commons. Plus, the Tram Dock restaurant will host an après party with music at the base of the iconic Aerial Tram. This is all part of the "Destination December" activities that will kick off the season and the resort’s 60th Anniversary celebration.
Get Locked In
The event is set for December 5, 2025. If you're looking for a truly unique and rowdy way to kick off the winter season, head to Teton Village, don your best denim, and help JHMR break another world record.

Celebrating Six Decades of Stoke
JHMR will also celebrate its 60th Anniversary all winter long. The official celebration, presented by Smartwool, happens on December 19. On that date, single-day lift tickets for all guests will cost just $60 while supplies last. The resort will host a series of special activities to commemorate the occasion. You can expect a retro ski costume contest at the Tram Dock. This is an excellent opportunity to dig out your favorite throwback gear.
Events for the Next Generation: Kids and Winterfest
The fun continues throughout the month. JHMR will host the Kids on Snow event from December 12-14. All children 12 and under will ski for free the entire weekend. This is regardless of their skill level. Kids on Snow will also offer affordable $100 group ski lessons on December 12. Families will also have the chance to experience dog sledding, ice skating, and the Holiday Bazaar. On December 13, the Snow Cats and Avy Dogs event gives families a chance to meet the avalanche dogs and hop in the driver’s seat of a snow cat.

JHMR will close out 2025 with its 13-day Winterfest celebration from December 19-31. Guests will be treated to all the best free family activities the resort offers during the holidays. Events include ornament making, cookie decorating, and the opportunity to ski with Santa Claus on Christmas Day. The celebration culminates in a parade and fireworks display on New Year’s Eve.
According to Ned Wonson, Vice President of Marketing at JHMR, “Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is excited to kick off our 60th season with our Destination December events, including the third annual Ski in Jeans. We look forward to seeing everyone in Teton Village to celebrate this historic anniversary.” This packed calendar of deals and high-energy events is the perfect way to get in the holiday spirit and create lasting memories in the Tetons.
