From the Group Chat to Indo: Kai Jones and Crew Make Summer Count

The trip began with a simple thesis: What happens when the big idea actually makes it out of the group chat?

Now we have at least one answer. Kai Jones and the dogs grabbed life by the horns, booked the flights, and landed in Indonesia, trading ski boots for boardshorts and swapping powder turns for pleasantly shaped peelers. Even better, they brought a TGR filmer along for the ride, so you can enjoy the action without cashing in your PTO or buying a plane ticket.

As it turns out, pro skiers know a thing or two about other sports. While none of these guys are about to quit skiing for the WSL, they know their way around a lineup. Watching them trade waves, dodge reef, and sneak in some cheeky chop-hops proves that stoke translates, no matter the sport.

From mischievous little monkeys stealing snacks to après-surf parties that rival the best ski-town shindigs, the boys made the most of their Indo adventure.

Maybe it's not all about powder. Sometimes the best off-season training comes with salty hair and sand between your toes.
