Free Valentine’s Day Weddings at Revelstoke Mountain Resort

Valentine's Day is rapidly approaching, and with love in the air and the hearts and minds of many, Revelstoke Mountain Resort has decided to offer couples a unique opportunity to tie the knot atop Mount Mackenzie. 

If this experience tickles the fancy of you and your betrothed, time to get yourself a Gor-tex Wedding Gown, a Down Tuxedo and book yourselves a trip to Revelstoke because from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on February 14, a Wedding Minister will be stationed at the summit of Mackenzie to conduct complimentary wedding ceremonies and vow renewals at the summit.

As part of the celebration, each couple will receive a tasty glass of sparkling wine and a cupcake to share, adding a sweet touch to their stoked out wedding ceremony. This event, now in its ninth year, has become a cherished tradition at Revelstoke, with over 160 couples having previously taken advantage of this memorable mountain-top experience.

Is there a catch? Well, not really. To participate, couples must pre-register to secure a time slot and ensure all arrangements are in place. While the ceremony itself is free, couples are responsible for obtaining a marriage license beforehand to ensure the union is legally binding. Additionally, two witnesses are required to be present during the ceremony. Non-skiing attendees will need to purchase a sightseeing ticket for gondola access, while skiing participants and guests must have a valid lift ticket.
