Only 13k? That is crazy cheap. We got the letter, but don't think we will do the webinar. Bode could bring some very out of the box thinking to an institution that could really use some out of the box thinking.

Everything I can find online talks about the online schooling portion, but there is no mention of the skiing side. It is like the skiing side would take place at your home mountain in a fulltime program. Maybe the upcoming webinar will get more into some skiing.

There is an older development (Lone Moose) at Big Sky that ran afoul of the 2007 crash and has been in a holding pattern since. The area has a lot of land and is located in a decent access point to Big Sky. If I recall correctly, this was supposed to be the site of a ski academy with Bode as the attraction.

The development of the area is close to beginning. Sounds related to me.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Is Bode still at Big Sky as some sort of "ambassador"? Could have fooled me. Never saw him once.

His idea was launched sometime last summer. guess he hasn't gotten past the "webinar" phase yet. Sounds promising.

Meh, what with the Pandemic that may have been a decision that was made.

Bunion knows too much and may end up wearing cement overshoes at the bottom of Lake Levinsky.

Probably the 1st time I have been accused of knowing too much.

Ironic that someone who grew up hippie poor in New Hampshire to become a top ski racer is going to charge upper middle class parents five figures to learn to be like him.

Maybe they'll have a couple token scholarships for the less affluent kids.

Speaking of which, a Helena kid just qualified for the U.S. Ski Team in slopestyle and big air. Pretty impressive. Guess all that shitty snow at Great Divide makes for some good park skiing.

Bode might have been raised by parents with a hippie streak, but they weren't poor. They owned and operated a world class tennis (you know, the sport of the common man) camp in Franconia that costs like 3g's a week. They had it on the market for a couple million a few years back but his sister runs it now apparently.

Regardless, if I wanted my kid to ski fast, I'd probably want Bode teaching them. So he's probably going to kill it.

World class? It’s kinda of a beater setup right on 116. Killer views, must have been a lot of land involved with the sale, if they made several million.

I didn’t think it sold, I was there on Saturday. Looked the same as it always has. Kinda of a janky setup right on the road

If you can ski fast and hard at the divide you can ski anywhere. As we used to say

“ if this breakable pizza box wind slab wasn’t so sun fucked it would ski pretty well”

Just the post that implied that a skiers from Montana don't usually make the big show? At least that's how it read to me.
