TR: Last Day for '06-'07 at 7Springs

PaSucks and I met up for a last day of the season at 7Springs, PA. It was all going to hell coverage wise and we had to rally to get a last chance at lift served in PA. For me Saturday was of special because 7S has been my home hill for 4 years and now I will be moving away next season.

Here are a few videos of us:

    PASucks taking an aggressive line.

    Me conserving corn.

There was only one run worth skiing and we skied the snow off it.

    PaSucks

    Tromano

Not many people were around. But a few interesting characters stood out. This guy was sporting the jeans steeze pretty hard.

This old hippie found a broken ski pole to push himself around. Note the bulbous knee pads.

    Not much left

We also spent about 30 minutes checking out the pond skim after lunch.

Afterwards we got to what 7Springs is really known for...

    Farewell 7S!

Nice man, I don't know where your going but may it be good to you and have more snow.
You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

Good luck with your move. There are plenty of PA transplants in CO and UT.

Snowfire came home to Pittsburgh with me this past Christmas and we decided to ski a day at 7-springs. After one run on the refrozen granular she turns to me and says, "So does this place have a bar?" My response: "Why yes, yes it does."

We were drinking Yuenglings by 11am.

Hahaha yes... he was actually on a pair of head mad trix moguls on Saturday.

Anyways, despite the coverage the snow was good and the company better. A nice end to a short but sweet year. Tim, good meeting you and Madeline (sp?) and hope to get some turns in at Alta sometime. Good luck in Utah in the meantime. Or maybe we'll do some biking before July, who knows?

Skievil, next year you'll have to show me the Bros I keep hearing about.
I'm in a band. It's called "Just the Tip."

Crazy Juan is still around, I see him every weekend. I ran into him on Saturday as I was leaving the Goggle. He is one cool dude. He had a heart attack last year and was back on the slopes with in 2 weeks. That whole gang of mogul guys is still around. Mogul Matt as the leader. I will try and scare up some pictures.

You can see Matt in the striped sweater in the background here:
