Im hoping the maggot collective will help me define what are the best / most well known Euro companies involved in big mountain skiing that are relatively unknown in the USA.

klättermusen makes imho the best fitting and most durable clothes you can get, but theyre not ski-specific, more trekking-like... and really expensive though... but i love every single piece i have

these were only the ones with any relevance for freeride or touring...

The reason i ask isnt because im looking for uncommonly seen gear.
Im looking for companies that you would commonly see in europe associated w big mountain events. Even companies that sponsor big mountain events in europe that arent in the industry and other "mainstream" european brands that like to brand themselves in youth/adventure culture.

For example ... here in the USA, the main sponsors of the US Freeskiing series are Subaru, corona, The north face, rossignol, powder etc.

evil, I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to do, but selling "extreme freeskiing" shouldn't be that hard at all. think of big $$$ companies who'd love to throw some marketing dollars at the 16-30 crowd. start with addictive mood altering substances (alchi, tobacco, caffeine), and go from there. Just think of how much money Budweiser/PhilMorris/Redbull are willing to spend to peddle their shit to the impressionable under-30 crowd.

Or shit, simply look at the sponsors of past Euro comps. I doubt that too many of the smaller ventures have that much money to throw around.

Btw, those Bumtribe skis looked awesome when I first encountered them in Verbier 2-3 years ago, worth checking out if you have change. For thread originators purposes might be still a way too small company thou.

In Finland we have this one guy who makes Powder Flower snowboards and also some skis. Totally handmade beautiful wooden thingies biut reasonably priced still. However his webpages have not updated in ages and are only in finnish if I recall correctly..

I've tried them (and wrote a bit about in coreshot) but to be honest they're not my cup of tea. Way too heavy and lazy
