Mayfield would add the running qb element the niners need. The offense was designed to have a running option with Lance

I can see that working with a bunch of wildcat/sandlot plays with CMC and Deebo, #262 throwing pass plays. Like posted above, why the hell not at this point.

Signing Baker would at least be a good scapegoat.

They better come up with something, fast. They play TB on Sunday, the #8 blitzing team in the NFL (and #5 in sacks). Our new #262 might be the next one through the Niner's QB meat grinder.

At this rate if SF doesn't sign Baker and get him killed I think he should really consider lobbying to join the College Gameday crew. Herbstreit is on his way out and him taunting 1,000s of college kids every Saturday seems like a nice fit.

I'd rather roll with Purdy who knows our playbook. He was pretty impressive against Miami.

    2022/23 NFL Thread

    Good choice. Fits the need:

Josh Johnson had his name on many team's draft boards. He was aided by his impressive NFL Combine performances, in which he posted the best 40-yard dash time (4.53) and vertical jump of any quarterback in the 2008 NFL Combine. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 25th pick of the fifth round

Sure, but Tampa also has to play against SF's defense...

Is that before or after #97 sacks him repeatedly?

I had to shut it off, the TB12 dick sucking was getting to be too much.

Evans must have slept with Gisele, cause Brady is just ignoring him at this point

Peyton and Eli are tolerable. More than elementary detail is interesting.

Flipped over to them at half. Way more entertaining to listen to them react to the TB12 magic than the usual hosts.

    Meanwhile back up in Foxboro...

Week 15’s originally scheduled “Sunday Night Football” game between the Las Vegas Raiders and New England Patriots has been flexed out by NBC and will be replaced with the game between the New York Giants and Washington Commanders.

That can't sit well with Hoodie.

In Baker news this morning I'm hearing that SF wants no part of him because "why would we want someone who asked to be released?" Damn, what a harsh reality this past year has been.

Anyone got some juice with the NFL in New York? That Xmas afternoon game between the Donkeys and Lambs will force me to interact with family instead of watching that garbage.
