Story needed told, but just too horrible to make it that long, had to skip to the end to make sure there was an attempt at justice.

    MY LIFE AS A COURGETTE
Cool French stop motion animation flick. Kinda heavy in regards to the themes being preaented--the opening few minutes are a serious head-cracker--but funny and poignant overall.
The puppet stop motion work is fantastic and a welcome change from the CGI stuff that dominates the animated world these days.

I remember reading about this flick last year when it premiered at TIFF.

    It looks like Cube-meets-Snowpiercer-meets-Super Jail...

Ooh! Big fan of Cube (even the sequels/prequels) and Snowpiercer, so I'll definitely have to check this one out. Thanks for heads up!

What's up with Netflix offering the second two lord of the rings movies, but not the first one? Offering movies two and three of a trilogy doesn't do me much good.

Annoying for sure, but that's why you should buy certain things like LotR. I can ALWAYS depend on my Blu-Rays/DVDs being there for me. Always hate when Netflix lets their licenses expire.

    It ain't just NF, either.

Prime has Maniac Cop 2 and 3, but not the original.
They also have FP2: Beats of Rage, but not the first film.
I am sure there are others, but it is an annoying tsend to offer sequels without the originals...

Agree on The Stranger and Aaron Hernandez being solid. I just started watching Dark and it's a little slow and was wondering if it is worth continuing.

The Endless - decent low-ish budget sci-fi. It's more story driven than special effects driven, so it (mostly) works. Reminded me a bit of Coherence.

FWIW, the directors' first film, which they reference heavily in The Endless, is on Prime right now. It is called Resolution.

Got around to watching the Stranger. Agreed that it's good, although the ending was a bit of a mess. Still enjoyed the show though.

Tiger King is florida man come to life. Three episodes in and I just don't think you could script characters like this.

Just finished season 2 of Narcos: Mexico. So bummed I now have to wait forever for the next season. That'll be an interesting one, though, given how this season ended. The rise of Chapo is coming.

The Mexico shows are very similar to Don Winslow's "border trilogy," which is a good thing because having read those books helps me understand who's who and what's going on.

Finished season 1 of Dark and enjoyed it and will watch season 2 with my wife. I had some time to kill and started watching You. Paused it 5 minutes in to tell my wife we have to watch this show together knowing she would like it also. She said she'd watched both seasons already. Cheating bitch. I've watched 2 episodes and can see this is a series that could be binge watched. It almost has a Dexter feel to it.
