Somewhat similar situation at Sunday River: on weekday powder days, it's not uncommon for a line to form prior to the maze being up at lift 1. Naturally, the pre-maze lineup is one long line, possibly doubling back if long enough.
The maze has two sides with alternating front row calls when full.
So when the maze gets put up around the line, it looks like skating around to the far side would be the move. If people are paying attention, it really isn't. Actual results may vary.

Nice getaway. Haha. Park City must be a hot bed of lawlessness like this. Real Wild West shit.

Lol, where else would that entire set of interactions take place but Park City.
Maybe someday he'll learn not to stop in the middle of a busy run? He almost ran that snowboarder over too.

As a grumpy old guy myself - I feel comfortable saying that the whole thing is pretty bat-shit crazy.
One can only speculate what's going on, but the kid seems like a dumb punk.
The old grumpy dude seems like an old grumpy dude, the kind you wish would just shut-up and quit yelling at the kids to "stay offa my snow!"
I have a strong suspicion that there was some prior bad blood between the two, or the like. (With pretty equal share of being entitled jerks.)
The old grumpy dude is deluded if he thinks he can "shame" the kid into feeling bad about his actions. And he's even dumber in resorting to "I ski betteh" arguments.
I dunno, it just seems like such a waste of effort, etc.
And it gives grumpy old guys such a bad rep.
I hardly ever yell at people to "stay offa my snow." And I don't want this guy to make me look bad by association!

That was awesome. Old dude with helmet dildo GoPro wants someone arrested for spraying him with snow.
Young punk is a fool. Today it’s not hard to deactivate someone’s pass. He could have calmly talked his way out of it. Instead he bolts from the loading zone. Wow.
And old dude is aggro. Yeah. You got sprayed. Get over it.
And why would a ski cop react when someone says they got sprayed?
I would laugh.

Snitches get stitches. Haha. Why not just spray him back and laugh about it? Instead you gotta go rat him out to the man?

Sounds like the kid did a douche move prior to spraying the old guy and the yellow jacket saw it. Old guy tried to weasel out with the “I’ve been skiing longer” than you comment. Like that entitles you be a dumb ass and stop where he did. RFID will bag the perp.
Reminds me of video I saw of a dude starting a car chase over a broken taillight, stop and face the misdemeanor instead of felony lol. Probably would have gotten a stern warning but this will cost him a season pass if he’s got one."It's only steep if you're backseat"

If you're going to verbally confront someone for anything you'd best have a solid zinger. Otherwise best keep your mouth shut. If you're going to chase someone you'd best be prepared to deal with whatever happens if and when you catch them. Including firearms.
The "victim" stopped where he was visible and not obstructing a trail. Nothing wrong with that.
saw a fun one today--below the lift at the base. A big older guy on skis came around the lift from one side, a smal high school snowboarder came around the other side, and hit head on. The big older guy got the worst of it--shoulder. Took him about 10 minutes to sit up, another ten to stand up and walk over to a nearby chair. The much smaller kid was unscathed. They were both moving too fast.

exactly
I LMAO if people go aggro when they get sprayed
>where was this "wild chase"? dude w go pro was so slow he couldn't catch a cold
Let's get down to it though>
-good spraying etiquette is a slashing carve turn angled at the person.
-we don't slide a direct line at the intended /this is purely a safety issue; shit happens, and you don't want to be on a collision course when ''it'' does.
*have fun out there >and spray like a cat!

Some punk kid in a maga hat sprays you like that and you’re just going to let it fly? I highly doubt that. Thought this was the dog shit under the handles crowd.

Not the line, but I've started occasionally spraying people who are just standing there blocking the lift line entrances / ropes, in particular if there's a crux and it's extremely obvious. This annoying habit got much worse during Covid due to a massive influx of new skiers (I think there's an entire thread about it) and hasn't gotten any better since. People who lack situational awareness for other people is a huge pet peeve of mine.
I ski 135 degree chutes switch to the road.
