Yes, illegal to buy someone else's pass.
Non-transferable.
Be careful when you get a PM from someone who wants to meet you in Broomfield.

My phone isnt cooperating or I’m a moron. That still doesn’t explain why Vail is raping consumers to ski groomers for $189 a day.

How much are the buddy passes this year? Like someone with season Pass goes to window with you, it was like $60 last time I checked a few years back.

Buddy passes for vail/beaver are $124 this season. Ski with a friend are variable. They’re $164 right now and $144 from 2/26-3/4.

I'd bet that the Vail Co. would charge one with fraud if caught using someone else's pass. Whistler did that to a friend years ago , cost him 3 grand in lawyer fees and he lost. I'm pretty sure he ended up with a criminal record to boot. The picture the liftees are looking at on the iPad is a big, clear shot , not some thumbnail like years past.

My understanding is Vail has zero tolerance:
Pass borrower/buyer: Cops called, theft of services charges
If owner claims pass was lost: Loss of pass
If owner admits selling: Fraud charges and banned for life
Lifties are given cash bonuses for catching pass fraud
Also, you may not realize that if you are a big enough shithead whether pass fraud or ducking into avalanche closures, your name will get tossed between ski companies onto a blacklist.
This is what I am told anyhow... I've never worked for a ski hill but my friends do.Originally Posted by blurred

Easiest legal route would be to get a part time job with the resort to snag a pass. I think if you work 5-10 days during the busy season (spring break is coming up), you're eligible for a full epic pass as a benefit.
