Las Tres Californias
CA voters will decide in November whether to split the state into three new states. This is complete lunacy.

We were just talking about this. Could be a boost for republicans. Southern would likely be red and northern possibly red.

Might get more complicated when CA starts floating out to sea
Just like 2012 or San Andreas, right?

6 Senators if DC wouldn't flip out, but would chop up the 55 College votes.

The 3 state proposal is ridiculous but carving off the eastern ends of Nevada, Placer, and El Dorado Counties to create a new Tahoe County would make sense to me.

Think of the junk show Brexit currently is, this would be 100x worse. Like Brexit, allowing something of this magnitude to be decided by a simple majority vote is insane.

Malcom Gladwell has a really interesting podcast about how Texas could split into 4 states; without the approval of Congress (unless congress could retract the approval prior to Texas executing the vote to split).

Who is going to pay for the replacement of all the new flags? 4 rows of 13 doesn't look as impressive.

This is the brain child of the same asshole who is still saying that his daughter’s childhood friend who scammed and defrauded people out of hundreds of millions is “a great icon” and a victim of a “witch hunt.”
Fucking VCs.

Idk, kind of hope this goes through. Didn't think California could become much more of a joke than it already is opcorn:

The three states of California makes perfect sense! We'd then have Northern California, Southern California, and North Mexico. !Ole!

52 stars would look weird on the flag. No way it'll happen.

Kinda weird how they want to divide the state up. LA and SD in different states?
No way the rest of the country will give California 4 more senators. Sorry, what a waste of time and money.
