I don't know how West convinced the state to put a lift right up a classic daks slide but they sure saved me from a nasty boot pack.

I hope you ripped the shit out of that^^^.

    Unconventional Terrain Competition Update
We are facing a VERY challenging weather scenario which MAY jeopardize us being able to run the event as scheduled. We will do our very best to get the event in as scheduled. We wish we could make a call right now as we are well aware that many of you are travelling a long distance to compete. Unfortunately that is not possible as we simply need to wait until tomorrow so we can see how the weather situation plays out. Our ability to safely hold the competition is dependent upon how the weather sorts out overnight and tomorrow. We will make a call by 8 AM tomorrow. Sorry to be so vague but there is not much else we can do at this point and wait

Changed over to snow bob about 20 minutes ago. Wet flakes falling on the pebble texture rain crust should bond well. According to my snow stake we lost 1/2" of depth today. There is a crust over the dense wetpack approx 3/4" that is not supportive.
As the temps droplike the the USA's hockey gold hopes it will set up into the best base we have had the last 3 years. Looking forward to March storms and an all out assault on the BC.

This vacation week was all about pow. Now, what with the weather, its all about beer . Just had a Topper and a Maine BC Peeper with VT_Ski. Plan to polish off the rest of the Hillies tomorrow (on the mtn ). Only way to deal with r@!n and a USA double wammy in Mens/Womens hockey.

I like your thinking. To do my part I will be out of town for several days in the first week of March. It's gunna dump then.

    ^

You joined the Hermitage Club ;-)?

I'll be at smuggs tomorrow, hopefully, the snow continues tonight so I won't need my ccm's but the kid is dead set on getting out regardless.

I knew somebody documented yesterday's banana belt high altitude festivities .

Edit: I'll be in Placid next week for family vaca, any local mags up for a tour (provided that today's pissing didn't render everything unworthy) somewhere pm me. I've been wanting to check out the Irene slide on Colden if it's even doable.
