You are too far ahead on this graph. We are just now in the 2nd wave the first sell of and media attention.

Matters not though. I only have profit in now.

Two men walk into a bar wearing HODL t-shirts.
They sit down and whip out their Ledger Hardware wallets where they store 1 Bitcoin, 10 million EOS and a bunch of other shittokens.
Seeing the two, the bartender walks over and says "What would you like to order?"

They each order a draft cheapest beer and start watching TV.
Just in, some news appears about Bitcoin - something along the lines of ...
"Bitcoin price volatility exceeds the comfort level of even the Venezuelans".

The bartender, thinking he has a humorous thought,
approaches the two patrons with the Ledger Hardware wallets (where they safely store their life savings)
and says ... "Hey you two. You look like Bitcoin fanatics. I got a joke for you! Wanna hear it?"

The two Bitcoin fanatics wearing HODL t-shirts reply in unison: "Sure sure"

Bartender: "What goes up and down 43.5% in June and is supposed to be stable so you can do business?"
The two think in unison and reply, "I don't know. What?"

Bartender: "Bitcoin!!! Just look at that shit moving all over the place on the charts.
... Only a fool would think they can beat a virtual casino rigged by crooks that
embraces the most fucking stupid and environmentally wasteful idea ever!"

The two look confused, think a lot, and then reply,
"Ya ... but at least we don't use FIAT government controlled currency!"

Bartender: "What?! You don't have gubernmint controlled FIAT currency
and all your money and life savings is on that shitty little USB stick with a long complicated password????"

The two look at each other, argue a bit over whose shit tokens are worth more to hodl and then one of them says,
"OK Smartass bartender. We got a joke for you!"

Bartender: "Ooo kaaay. Let's hear it"

The two argue a bit more about whether their shittokens or Bitcoin are a better investment -
Although they can't even agree on which one is the Real Bitcoin™.
Finally, they look at the bartender and tell him their quickly improvised joke:
    "Who is the biggest loser?"

The bartender pours a beer for another patron, prints out a bill, and then walks over to the two,
puts the paper down in front of them and then says, "You are. [laughs] because you HODL and you HODL stuff that's worthless!"

The two [looking smuggly] say, "not us. lol. it's you! You should have invested in crypto! LOL. So YOU are the loser!!"

The bartender tweaks his nose to the bouncer alerting him to a potential future problem with these patrons, and then turns to the patrons:
"Ha ha. Funny guys. Well, I have news for you. YOU are the biggest losers!"

"How so?" says the crypto maniacs in hodl t-shirts, still laughing to their last retort.
Bartender: "Cause I don't accept fucking crypto and HERE'S THE BILL!"

    LOL.
    Happy 4th of July!
I hope you are all doing well with your Future Gubbermint Block&Chain Investments™!
    LOL.

You keep saying dollars when you mean Tethers.
    They aren't the same.
    Ya know

No denying he's dead on about the insane power consumption. I keep hearing "next round of machines will be more efficient". The power consumption will always be high. It's the nature of the system.

Although there is a non-zero chance that crypto will be around in 40 years, it will asymptotically go to zero in the next few years.
So if you got money in the game, can successfully play the volatility, and cash out, without your ID being sold on the black market, without your withdrawals being frozen by the exchange itself for made-up reasons, without your crypto being stolen and/or hacked in your accounts and/or wallets,
    then kudos to you.

    Chance of that ....

    ahem ahem cough cough chuckle
