Bad advice, snowbasin parking was full by 10am-ish today, also a total junk show. I bet people were stuck in bumper to bumper traffic miles from the resort, not knowing parking was full too.

    Don’t tell anyone else

Yeah, if you’re solo you could stay up canyon.
But for a few people it’s a sweet place to stay for the price.

Wow. They’re claiming this place is less than 10 minutes to Alta and Snowbird?

It’s right around the corner from my house and it took me over 2 hours to get up there this morning.

Even in the summer it takes 15-20 minutes.

    Yeah. Canyon sucks ass.
    Might be some exagermaration.

Cool chill owner. And fairly priced.

But it is right there at the bottom.
If the gondola goes in. You could walk there from the backyard.

99% of those posting here don’t want the gondola. So who gives a shit if that place is right close to it.

We’ve got our resident moron legislators piping up again saying the 1100+ people stuck in interlodge could’ve taken the gondola down. Say what??

Reason i asked is the 5 day cliff deal through snowbird is still $$$ but it makes it a bit more reasonable. Less than that the per day cost is pretty high.

Collins lift sign was throwing out "-40 degrees" today. So that was cool.

Ha ha! Saw that too! It did switch to 22F after a cycle. Today was good but I honestly was expecting better. I know, I’m a “flipping” Jong bitching about 750”. Incredible!

Apparently Utah doesn’t want us to leave. Couple quick Sat morning laps were great

Got back to checkout and flight was canceled, so decided to just go bang around SLC w kids. Bought new skis from Lone Pine for my son, nice lunch and headed to pretty slick Ninja Warrior gym in Sandy for the kids to play

After 5:45am flight de-boarding after sitting on plane for 90 minutes. Rebook a red-eye for tonight and head back to airport hotel. Lunatic taxi driver had 3 almost crashed on the 10 min drive, then 1/4 mi from hotel completely blows a 90* corner and goes over the curb. He just missed the traffic light pole by 2’.

Fortunately we were all fine, but we all start laughing our asses off, driver excluded. I was really hoping he was going to ask me for a tip, couldn’t resist grabbing pic above.

Insane week of skiing and the insanity continues!!

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

At Snowbird today. It is my first time skiing the Wasatch in 15 years. I don’t remember the snow being this heavy. The storm came in cold so I am not sure what is going on but the bird is not covered in the cold smoke I was expecting.

Another stellar day. 4 walk on wildcats to keyhole, soft wind buff sunspot, supreme area is mighty filled in and skiing great, more pow in thirds…kind of ok with the rope tow being down preserving the experience.

Is there more to this story? Was riding Wildcat today and it seemed to be riding the struggle bus with multiple start/stops/running half speed.

I thought the snow here turned heavier right around 2012 but my memory kinda sucks.

It's probably all the toxic China pollutants in the snowflakes weighing things down. Or, you know, you could just be getting older.
