Another gem by Ryu. Now hopefully the pen can close this out since the Dodgers are leaving a shitload of runners on base again.

And just like that it’s 5-3 Angels. Joe Kelly is a dumpster fire.

Entertaining game in Boston tonight as Benintendi and both managers get tossed. Also some wacky plays such as Holts going halfway over the wall in right and apparently getting stuck thus allowing an inside-the-park HR. Sox got shelled but hey.

The Sox are pretty meh. And the "closer" is blech. Oh well, house money.

They can be better than this. It's like they're barely paying attention the past week at least. And other stretches too. Cora sees it but I'm not sure what he can do about it.

No more fried chicken and beer in the locker room?
Oh wait.
For what they have on paper, they are just underwhelming.

For as shitty as they are playing they’re what, a game or two out of the wildcard? I hope they get a legit closer at some point, but the rest of the team will probably wake up at some point.

Maybe papi taking one to the back will rally the Sox.

To split, I believe. 8 grand is a lot of money in the DR. The one guy was a motorcycle taxi driver. I never knew there was such a thing as motorcycle taxis before, but in a poor country it makes sense as a cheap way to get somewhere.
It'll be interesting to hear what Papi did or didn't do that set this in motion. I'd guess they tried to shake him down and he told them to fuck off but that's just a wild guess.

Class move by the Indians organization having Hall of Famer Reds announcer Marty Brennaman sit in with the Tribe radio team to call the 3rd inning yesterday in what is likely his last time visiting the Jake.
46 years of calling ball including Pete's 4192, Junior's 500th, and a lot, lot more. Baseball is losing a great one in him.

(anyone know how to embed video from the twatter?)I still call it The Jake.

Turn the game on, bottom of the 2nd, 6-1 Texas. wtf? Price only lasted 4 outs?
edit: and JBJ with a 3-run shot makes it a game at least

So one rumor floating around is that Papi may have been messing around with another guys woman. If it was a hit per se, then he must have gotten sideways with someone on something.

Always gets me when I see the cost of a hit. 8 grand is one of the highest I've seen. Just recently I saw 3 grand, and that was for some Wall St. dude by his well taken care of wife. Fuck, cars cost ten times more. Maybe they're doing it for kicks and pocket change?

He's talking about Papi.
Benny I don't know about the $3 grand wall street thing, but $8 grand is real money in the DR.
