So, we are all going to let Brit slide on pretending he's been to a dentist?

He said that's why he came to America.

No one has mentioned car dealerships. Like the German ones owned by Otto Haus.

The Main (Dept. of) Interior Building on C Street in DC. And I’m sure it’s not the weirdest govt building in DC.

    Weird Places

6am just off the strip in Vegas. Hookers wrapping up the night shift, drunks getting woken by the new day, partiers stumbling to bed and degenerate gamblers making their way back to the machines.

Some of the best people watching I’ve experienced... the weird part in question is how the fuck does it all still work... 365 days a year.

7:00 am Reno, circa 1975, after the all night bleez across Nevada at the end of a 6 week tour of acid dealing in SLC, arriving to a gas station with mobile home casino attached.
There in the soft lights of the gambling alley stood an old lady with her walker, chain smoking and fiendishly yanking the arm of a slot machine with her oxygen tank, hose and mask draped over her neck.

Pretty sure this is a mandatory experience anytime you drive through Nevada. That's why the gas stations have machines inside

So it wasn't to escape the Church of England. Or En Gland, as the French might say.

The view through the side entrance of the old JCPenney store in my town. It's the old side lobby and service desk. It is eerily lit 24x7. And it's walled off from the rest of the building which is now a planet fitness. You can see the wall cutting it off from the rest of the building. It is a time capsule into a bygone era of commercial institutional architecture.

Back in the 70s my father once had someone removed from his court room for smelling like Irish Spring. He hated the smell of that stuff.

The abandoned building near Natty Dread’s place was pretty weird, I certainly hope that place has been torn down by now. Tripping balls while exploring it further enhanced the weirdness.

You want weird Washington? Try Metaline Falls. It's the town that time forgot. Spent a night there once. Couldn't wait to leave in the morning <shudder>

Creepy Oregon: Hotel Oregon in McMinnville. It's a McMenamins property. Very very creepy.

Hey, if you are looking for a dental office where the receptionist will barely look your direction much less smile, my mother in law works the front desk at my buddy's Queen Anne practice.

OK, Dryer sheets with Eau de Fat, hold the Irish Spring. Our resident Irish dentist will be with you shortly. How was your vacation?

Head meet hammer. Bad water up there.

Really? On pinot wobbles through the Willamette Valley, I've wondered about staying there.
