Strategy Room: How to win Women's World Skate

So I met this nice older lady Di that has a skateboarding nonprofit, LA Costa Racing Team, and she got me interested in the sport of Slalom Skateboarding. That's a sport where we skateboard downhill through a 50-cone course.

I love snowskating moguls, so I showed up to my first race and like totally stomped so hard that I made the United States National Skateboarding Team for Hybrid Slalom, Tight Slalom, and Giant Slalom.

This race happened to be the ISSA National Finals, and it also happened to be in the city I live in. Since USA Skateboarding is a parent organization to ISSA, they recognized my single score as high enough to qualify for the national team to compete in World Skate around Halloween this year. The contest is in Argentina.

My boss was hella chill letting me take the time off, and the ladies at work are all fired up for me, so I gotta go and WIN WOMENS WORLD SKATE!!

Lol idk really how to do that, so I was thinking ohhh! Maybe I'll make a thread! If anyone knows how to win women's world skate, it's the fellas in the padded room!

Here's a real good video of my teammate Isa running the Tight Slalom. Her and I are pretty neck and neck right now, so it's a pretty decent idea of where I'm at:

    Damn. That's so impressive.

I have absolutely nothing to add strategy-wise, but I bet you'll go out and crush it.

First step, I gotta get some cheddar to get to Argentina. How do people fundraise these kinds of things? Write a nice letter? One idea was to see if corporations will donate air miles for the flight, which is 2/3 of the cost

Freakin WADA (world anti doping agency) has it's grubby tentacles all over the contest. So no sativa for me I'm even struggling with the idea of having to go vegetarian in the days leading up so I don't piss hot for pork hormones. I drink milk every day!!

I hit up Sk8 Kings, and it sounds like the lady owner is excited to build me a board. At practice yesterday, I realized I'd outgrown my last board. I kinda like the Slolocybins

That will do :-) Very nice!

I haven't dodged any cones since about 1981. I do bomb the little hills around the neighborhood from time to time. Living 3 hours from the closest ski hill bombing little hills and a couple mini ramp kick turns are what I'm limited to around here. Also getting too old to push things too hard on pavement..

A local guy was Ross Rebagliatti's coach so on the chair i ask buddy if Ross was a doper and he said " The level these athletes perform at there is no way they could be stoned "

which must have been his stock answer cuz a month later Ross anounced his line of cannabis products
