I thought it was real packed last night.
Really? I guess it woulda seemed like it the further you are down. Some other friends were closer and said it seemed busy. I was in row 50 dead center and it seemed like we could of fit a group of 12 in no problem. Also they shut down a couple beer stands early on the upper section. Listening to the show now. Jealous of the shows to come!

Just throwing this out for anyone who might end up with an extra Sunday.
Trying to make it to one of the shows but nothing yet, not looking to break the bank.
More of a lurker over here but plenty of folks know me at that "other site".

I also have a C1 converted kayak thats been collecting dust if anyone is into that.

did your sources tell you about how last night fucking was the best goddamn phish show I've seen in a decade? my sources are telling me that i had a fucking blast and phish fucking rocks the goddamn house. Mound and pyite is when it all started happening for me, and from there I was pretty much just along for the ride. Trey was having a blast and sounded as tight as mid-90's. so glad the boys are back and sounding great.

Final round starting up in ...3....2....

21 & 22 yo. from boulder, both of whom dig jam band generally. their feelings were that they had been to much better shows, string cheese @ rothbury was their comparison, and and they say that in comparison, it blew...

Great run. I don't generally like it when guests sit in because it takes away from the band. However, Billy's sit in last night was great. I thought the Boogie jam was the best of the run and in order here is how I'd rank the weekend shows.

    1. Saturday
    2. Sunday or Friday
    3. Friday or Sunday
    4. Thursday

    Sets:

    1. Friday Set II
    1a. Saturday Set I
    2. Saturday Set II
    3. Sunday Set II
    4. Thursday Set II
    5. Sunday Set I
    6. Thursday Set I
    7. Friday Set I

put it this way - i have been seeing the phishes specifically and jam bands generally, since your friends were 5. and fri set 2 and sat rank amongst the best shows i have been to in the last decade. and that includes all the lengendary panic, moe, sts9, cheese and whatever else have you.

Friday set II was the best set all weekend, imo. What I witnessed at Red Rocks was some of the best Phish I've seen since '98 and I've been seeing them since '92.

Hopefully your sources thought the whole weekend blew and will stick to the SCI & Umphrey's scene. More room for me to dance.

Same goes for me. Ive been seeing the phish since they were sitting around in diapers watching Bozo the Clown. Phish kills it and to share it with some of my best homies is stellar. What a weekend.
Spent most of it in 3rd, 4th and 5th rows. Got some pretty good shots. Ill share em after I go rail some CO singletrack for a couple days. Hell yeah!!

Nick, your friends sound like stupid wooks. I listened to cheese from roth and it doesn't even come close.

The last 4 nights were some of the best phish shows I have ever seen.

Hope you guys had as much fun as I did!

Friday night was definitely my favorite of the 4. (I'm a total sucker for Crosseyed...called it right after the drowned jam started too)

Couldn't get in last night. So, I watched from the hill. Man, as long as you walk up far enough, you can hear REALLY well up there. We almost completely filled up a trash bag on the walk down.

All in all, it was a REALLY CHILL weekend. Phish rocked hardcore and the rest of the phans made it a great time with apparently no major hassles. Seems like we may get to do this on a more regular basis! I'm sure tickets will be easier next time too.

    Can't wait for 8.

Granted, I haven't been to too many Cheese shows. (Red Rocks, Festivals and a couple other local shows) So, I may be missing the part when they actually ROCK. But, honestly, I could never get into cheese. They just always came off as sorta limp and apathetic to me. Not trying to knock them or anything. But in my book, I could never put them in the same league as Phish.

Good Boogie and YEM and a decent Reba. Otherwise... meh. I guess I'll never really get into some of this new shit. Undermind was pretty good I guess.
