    Harry, I'm sad I won't get to ski with ya this time, but you're doing the right thing and I laud you for it. We'll make some turns together again soon!

    I'd rather ski with Harry than get a t-shirt. An yess b-bear.

    .

    I stayed at the Moose Creek once 5 or 6 years ago with my dog. It was fine. The cabin was clean and maintained. I didn’t really use the main lodge. The road that leads to the moose creek trailhead is nice to walk the dog along. I don’t know if it’s still managed by the same folks. It’s pretty much right at the base of the pass on the Idaho side.

    If you need doggie daycare during the day, I recommend Russ / Hairball Hotel in Victor.

    Thanks for the tip. That is good info. for future reference. Right now, Hazel is only 10mos. old and not spayed, so I will have to save it for another day. This trip, when I ski, she would have to make do (not doo) in the truck.

    Yes you should bring the long boards! Having the longest skis on the tram makes you the envy of every other mag and the object of desire from the ladies. Bonus points for a hat or sticker with "Long Boards Truck" on it. Djongo may break out his 215's and start a competition.

    Strictly speaking, my longboards are these in a 210:

    (edit) I think I'll stick with the night of the 26th arrival despite the questionable forecast.

    Hey I think I have my schedule cleared to head over that way after work on the 28th and ski JH on the 29th. I may do a lap or two on the pass on Sunday. I'm fine with shelling out the $$$ for a day pass, but if there's discount options available I would definitely take them. Anyone???

    Ok so who is here from outta town this wknd?

    I’ll be at the Village for a bit tomorrow. Probably all in bounds laps for me.
    Sunday I’ll be out touring in the Park or maybe the Pass. (My Daughter will be with me. She’s fun and a rippin skier but dealing with a busted tailbone recovery).

    Happy to meet at the Village Saturday or have folks join Sunday. Obviously, if you’re interested in a ski tour please have the appropriate gear and knowledge. I’ll be sure to keep to a safe snowpack.

    Well alrighty then, Let's get this Ball rollin'!

    For the next 2 weeks it's gonna be a mag get together on just about any day.

    Locals will be out and easy to connect with as well as visiting mags , all making turns, hanging out, safety meetings and whatnot.
    If you're reading this and in JH, I urge you to make some time to come out and ski with some web friends. PM me or any loc and we'll find ya.

    We can ski fast or slow, that'll depend on you.

    So Let's go with the old meeting spot, Casper fireplace at 11 am, any day. I usually give it 10 minutes before/after...if yer on the hill swing over and let's turn some.

    Looking forward to meeting and skiing with all of you soon.

    I am bummed that we're not gonna have Harry at this shindig but He's solid by me and he is of course doing the obvious right thing.
    I'll miss ya my friend but hope to redeem it at the MTBBI22 witcha. Pound Christie for us.

    Any and all longboards will be entertained if'n ya wanna haul them. The skiing will be ideal for actually using them for what they're good at; instead of hanging on for dear life in a mank race.

    I also have the 215 W's DH boards with demo clamps - all will fit. And I have a pair of 193 WC fis GS planks set up for a 326 bsl.

    And there's all sorts of loaner skis floating around this town if a mag needs something.
    We gots frinds at Igneous and Wilson powderworks...

    I'll be out in the morning looking for trouble...

    What's "early" for the tram given the forecast for the 27th?

    I like this idea. Look forward to seeing new and old mag friends over the next couple weeks!
    It may not be deep powder but we will have tomfoolery and chalk. and chalk is my 2nd favorite ski condition over powder

    I'll see if I can get Andrew out too. He has a terrible bursitis on his foot and the docs told him he needs a couple weeks out of boots, but I'll at least drag him along to hang out for Djongo's garage gatherings
    here's a pic which barely does it justice on how huge it is

    I'ma gonna say 8:15 would be early. Looking like high pressure settling in again...

    That's assuming it kinda chills out like the last coupla weeks.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Damn, that bursitis bump is gnarly. Makes me cringe
    Missoula now, have guys trip to Brundage/McCall/Tamarack starting 2/7. Would need to barter extra time/$$ with spouse and swing that way before turning back west for that trip.
    Just bad timing on my end
