WTT/FS 189 DPS Lotus 120 Spoon

Ideally would trade these for 178cm Spoons in the same condition but am open to a straight sale.

Decided these were too long for me. Used 3 days by previous owner who had them mounted with Dynafit Beast bindings for unknown BSL. I have these mounted for a 310 BSL at +0.5cm from boot center with Marker Jester bindings and used them 4 times. The Marker mount is using Binding Freedom inserts.

Bases are flawless and topsheets are 9/10 with a few nicks where my poles slipped off the heel when trying to click out. Evo calls them 2070gr/ski, so 9.1lbs/pair.

Not to brag, but I'm like 5'5". I'm a fat 5'5", but still 5'5". Once or twice I got these on a wide untouched field and opened them up and they are *amazing*, but those turns are few and far between so I just can't use the length much.

No problem holding these indefinitely, but figured I'd see what the market holds right now.

I'm 5'9" / 170 and had the 178 for awhile, real fun mini-charger in anything soft. Can't imagine what a beast the 189 must be. Sold it for something that could carve hardpack better, needed a bit more versatility.

I had the 197 in pink. Was fun for one run then went 189. It is a stiff ski and requires strong skier. I went OG 120 hybrid and am more happy with that

5'7" 150, have owned 4 prs of 189/190 L120's...I'd buy those but don't need a third pair. Lightening quick directional changes in soft snow. Not the best resort pow ski as it will deflect in heavy chop since carbon and light but really shines in tight trees. For me.

Throw a 2/2 tune on them and try them again before you sell them. I will admit, the length breaks on that ski were odd going 178/189/197. They would have sold a metric fuckton of them if they had made it in a 184, but that spooning in the shovel was a real pain in the ass from a manufacturing standpoint.

Although, as someone who has spent a good bit of time on the 178 and 189 L120 Spoon, the 178 is a spectacular ski if you enjoy skiing trees at irresponsibly high speeds. I'm 5'7'' 155lb here.

Going super short with a powder ski isn't always the answer, there's a lot to be said for the fore/aft stability that a longer ski provides in deep snow.

Try moving the mount forward if you think they are too long. 178cm would be way too short.

That may contribute to the issue--yes, these are exclusively inbounds DEEP day skis, I use 182 GPOs for anything less than 8" or so.
