It's looking very wintry out there in Bend this morning. Drive safe Central Oregon Mags!

And will do, appreciate the welcome. Going to be a great year. Hood looks like a blast to ski.
Feel free to hit me up if you want anyone to show you around meadows.

My first call of the day was an associate in Bend. She says, “looks like it’s going to be a long, cold, snowy winter.”

I kept thinking if it were that easy, wish I had that kind of faith. Well, that and how I hope she hasn’t jinxed us 😳

Gotta go to EUG for business this AM. ODOT Sez carry chains or traction tires.
No problem - Hakas are mounted and in the back of the Outback!

Getting them swapped at tire store while I’m there. Can’t get it done until after Xgiving at their store here…

    Oh yeah, got both
Store changes out, rebalances all wheels and does their thing with TPMS valves, all for free while I wait. And faster than doing it myself in the driveway while it snows

Just driving by most of the local tire stores yesterday, and they were all slammed. Nothing like some snow on the roads to motivate the people!

Well the headlines did say "should" operate so there's that.

Went for a hike this morning. I know, no one cares.

    Actually I do care…

Was reeaallyy thinking about a hike but the 18” base scared me away. I got a core shot and a nasty tomahawk with a 28” base.

    Then I see this

And think “there can’t be that many fools fucking up their boards…can there?”

So how much base/edge damage should I be prepared to accept for a little hike up le’Cone?

The snow on Hood is pretty good right now and should stay good for a few days before it warms up.

No sharks. The base got consolidated. About 4" on top of a very, very firm base. Lots of hootin' and hollerin' for some boarders coming down Thunderbird.
