I wouldn't get in a hurry. Just got back from Moab last night. Desert is still cold and wet. Never broke out the bike. Spent the time skiing the la sals. Skied in the Abajos yesterday and things were finally warming up turning to mank. Froze my ass off on the San Juan. Thought I would spend some time exploring cedar mesa than make my way over to the Sierras. Could not get off the paved roads. Too muddy to hike. Decided to head back and give things at least a week to dry out. Going to ride SLV today I think things are dry.

Ugh, depressing for the weekday pass holder. I love slush bumps, but between the lack of variety in aspect and early weekday closing, likely another year I'll miss out on lift-served corn.

B lining it to moab and fruita is the mistake

Some people don't know any better and they can have at just a breckenridge in the desert

But yeah moab is great in January

Skied Telluride the last couple days on a whim to come see a friend speak at the library.

Things are so filled in and good. Not to add to the bitching... but it is such a god damn shame this place is closing in 5 days. See ya'll in Silverton next week when everything else closes around here I guess

    Eagle is the new Fruita.

    Fruita/Loma is the new Moab.

Rabbit Valley is all reserved camping now too. Westwater is the only place left. Don't tell anyone.

oh yeah the skiing was excellent at the basin today. some somewhat wind buffed runs off pali, smooth windbuff off len, great chalky snow back in zuma and some windloaded pow off lower east wall and north y. corner chute slid pretty good from a blast today.

skied taos for my first time sunday and monday and the snow was excellent, what a cool mountain with a fat snowpack.

Yes it is a shame…..almost every year when the snowpack is at it’s peak.

The crowds were a bitch today.

I learned the other day that Telluride does not have spring break until end of season. Then everyone splits and no one to work if the season were to get extended.

That sounds like it bodes well for extending the San Juan snowpack. Hopefully, the dust events don’t happen for a while.

When spring comes to a mountain town and all the mountain men advance from their winter womenless caves of heavy drinking and good times. To celebrate conquering yet another dark and cold winter in hopes of seeing a bikini clad mountain woman, with broad shoulders and flowing hair as she descends a ski slope of virgin white snow. You, wondering where your place is in line and she is reminded yet again that the odds are good, but the goods are odd. Like a breath of fresh air, the soon to come summer sun brings a new day, and a new season on us all.

If 'advanced' is the category just above intermediate and below expert then it's not a crazy list. 13 minutes is a lot of youtube video to say so though but I guess someone's gotta be grinding out content.

I had the weekday last year and regretted not having the full pass. It was worth it this year.

FYI:" There may only be 14 more full days of skiing left up here at Purg, but they'll sure be quality! We've gotten a record-breaking 366" so far this season and more than 25" in the OpenSnow forecast!
Did you know that with your 23/24 season pass, you can come up and take advantage of the incredible spring conditions right away? Yep! You don’t have to wait until next season to get out on the slopes -your pass is ready to use immediately."

So advanced it requires extreme skate ski skills to navigate the flats.

Traversatory has been around for a long time, I'd forgotten that one.

And that list is absolutely hysterical. I don't think they got even 1 of the top 5 correct.
