I just bought a new pair of Sir Francis Bacons and one thing is driving me crazy!
Long time lurker, this is the first time i haven't been able to find what I'm looking for on here so I'll see if y'all can help. What are the red and yellow spots supposed to be!?!? its on the bottom of the right ski, I didn't notice it until i got them in the mail. Forgive me if this is a complete gaper question.

The spots indicate that you have to use the red and yellow boots with those skis.
Tech talk jong.

Lol thanks for that I'll keep the boots in mind. Is it really tech talk? I just wanna know what the picture means not specs or capability.
Eric Pollard clearly takes a lot of pride in his art, I assume its pretty safe to say that they mean something. At first i thought countries, maybe France and Cuba but that makes no damn sense. No one else has 2014 bacons or Mr. Pollards Opus's and has wondered the same?

The Yellow and Red mean Caution and Stop respectively.
So those skis are unsafe.

Hey, this is Dan from Line.
Here's the explanation straight from Eric Pollard:
"They symbolize an island chain. Not an particular islands, just a shape I made while painting. The islands are on the ski to symbolize surf, surf soaked islands and waves. I’ve been heavily influenced by surfing, and I like to attempt to adapt surf maneuvers into ski moves. I wanted to give a nod to surfing in my graphic, but I didn’t want to have a blatant curling barrel or anything like that."

Hey Dan,
Thanks for the reply! I love the graphic and can't wait to take the ski's out for a spin, waiting is the worse part about being cheap and waiting to buy skis in July.

Lol it is pretty suspicious that both our names are Dan too, but i agree with XXX-er, line skis should hook me up with a marketing internship, or at least give this broke college kid some free swag. Here's to hoping.

Since skiing takes place in winter and deciduous trees lose their leaves(making them appear dead) in winter, I made an educated guess.
