It's kind of like that holiday fruitcake that keeps on giving.
Back in the day of having the 1000s of vinyl album collection, one of my housemates and I would hide this horrendous record by Jorge Santana in each others collection.
After I moved out, we continued the tradition by sneaking it into each other house.
His ex-wife was not amused.Merde De Glace On the Freak When Ski

Finally home. Physically and emotionally drained. That was a helluva a trip. Photos of the Urner and time in Sedrun to come. We got great an incredibly lucky weather window and stability. Skied good snow every day but one.
Only real kick in the nuts was losing the nut that holds the toe pin in location on the Vipecs sometime early on the final day when I still had 1000M+ to climb and 1700m of descending. Made it work, but it meant side slipping what was one of the best pitches of the trip -- 400m at 40ish degrees in pow above an icefall. (Hence the side slip.)
One shot from the photographer who was along of us banging out a mellow pitch.

Whoa, who let Luke behind the bar? Did you scare off that nice Italian girl after I left?
Its a green-ish, grid fleece hoodie.

Giulia with a G not a J. She hooked me up with ride to Monza, and held onto my ski gear while I bounced down to Rome and back.
The only picture I have of Michele he's not in that hoodie, but he was wearing it all week

My head is spinning thinking of skiing over there.
Can someone talk about train travel with ski bags? Seems like it would be a giant pain standing there on the platform, or do you check your bag when you get your ticket? Thanks.

It's as much a pain as you make it. You don't check your bags. But platforms aren't crazy busy so that you can't navigate. I took a 50# bag on wheels. It wasn't easy to move fast but it was fine. Sometimes they don't fit well in the ski racks, but there is plenty of overhead space.

Hmmm...did most of you take a single pair of skis? I suppose mid-fats in a double bag with lots of other gear would make it easy to carry on the rest.
