We used to make an annual trip to Fernie every season since it was a pretty close drive. It always annoyed my dad how much they tax alcohol up there. So every time we were at the border, they would ask if we had any drugs/weapons/alcohol, to which my dad would respond "just a 6-pack of Kokanee". Used to peeve the guards from what I could tell in the back seat

Makes more sense to lease if you can get the money factor right.

No. I have not. It was a mean joke. One drinks soda through a straw. If you are drinking something through a straw it must be soda. You were in HS do you were a child. An ice cream float is the next logical step, as mostly children drink those. I think there's a pic somewhere of mikeyb with a stout and ice cream float, actually.

I have heard since forever that drinking beer through a straw gets you more hammered. No idea why that might be, in fact until now I hadn't heard of anyone actually doing it, but here we are.

I always heard that leasing a depreciating asset is a terrible idea.

Bump...heading there in a couple weeks with the family for a son’s hockey tournament, driving but I’m sure it doesn’t make a difference.

Got charged with an Actual Physical Control 20 year’s ago but can’t remember what the final “guilty”. Reduction was but do temper losing license for 90 days. A quick google search of myself and can’t find anything.

Based on this thread, doesn’t sound like I need to be worried about getting in but figured I’d ask this group of lawyers and dentists.

Holy shit, should have proof read that...

Don’t remember what the guilty verdict was but license was suspended. APC is not a driving/ moving vehicle incident like a DUI.

Again, I don’t have the records for final verdict, I think I actually settled for something less while still getting a license suspension. Google turns up nothing and was pre-9/11.

Pretty sure Canada Border Services doesn't rely on google searches when screening for admissibility. Just sayin

you can get across an unprotected border into the USA at Hyder Alaska true story

you just can't go anywhere in America from Hyder

and then you have to clear the Canadian customs to get back into Canada

Canada should ban all of the people that voted for Trump.
It would be just that much more pleasant.
