    Telluride Lift Tickets?

I'll be in Telluride in a few days and was wondering if there are any places to buy discount tickets. I heard there used to be places to buy them in Ouray, but that may be old news.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Right now they are offering two full day tickets for $100 if you bring in a season pass from anywhere else. The regular day rate is like $94.
Half price tickets can be had if you purchase lodging in some of the nearby towns like Ridgway or Rico.

The pass from another area deal only lasts until Feb. 6th, and is good just once for each passholder during that time. It has to be a full season pass from another area, so weekday passes, etc. don't get it.

do you have to use the two tickets before feb. 6th or could u buy the tickets at that price and then use them after the feb. 6th date? Im going down to silverton the last week of January and would be able to stop by telluride to take advantage of the deal but im not gonna be able to come back and ski most likely until after feb. 6th.

It's not two tickets, it is one two-day ticket for $100. I think you have to use it when you buy it. So you can't give it to a buddy so both of you can ski on the same day, or use it on a later date.

How do they know if you have a full pass or say a one day a week pass? It isn't printed on the physical Aspen passes.

This is the best deal you will ever find at Telluride. If you bought a 10-day pass at T-ride this season it comes out to $65 a day, so $50 a day is as good as it gets.

Telluride has become super tight with discount tix. I have a pass but I have begged and pleaded to find discounts for friends visiting and it's nearly impossible. Even a half day pass is over $80. sorry, not much help.

    Cool

Don't know the current situation, but for about 20 years outlying towns
like Ridgway and Ouray had hotels that gave you 50% then 40% off vouchers
    if you stayed with them.

This deal was sanctioned by Telluride but was hardly talked about.

4 years I got 40% discount this way at Ridgway Inn & Suites (former
Super 8). The ski run I did at Telluride that day was the best ever anywhere
    at any time period!!!.
(It's now ruined with a lift -Revelation Bowl and closures due to property owner squabbles) This run was Bear Creek Canyon out of bounds -Legal after being closed for 25 years. 15 inches new inbounds. I hiked up to the entrance gate above the top of Gold Hill chair. Must have just opened
only about 8 sets of tracks.

The run started (Revelation Bowl area) with 1500 ft vertical untracked ultra light snow 2 to 3 feet deep followed by a narrow rock band. Then 1000 ft more of 2 ft snow. Next a 10 foot cliff band with a rope to lower through.
Finally 500 ft vertical snow 1 ft deep ending at a chair lift in town.
After this I felt like I died and gone to heaven. Still stoked.

I'm bumping this thread since I'm heading back to Telluride in a few weeks. Last time I managed to save about $5 buying my tickets at Sports Authority. I'm hoping to do better than that this time. Anyone have the goods on tickets?
    Thanks!

Window ticket prices at T-ride this year vary from early season deals to $118 for the holidays and $112 regular season. They lowered the price on the 10-day and 6-day passes this season ( I'm not sure, but I do not believe there are any blackout dates) to $699 and $499, but you need to get them on-line before October 13 to get the deal. Check their website.
