So hoping we get a SH_AWD with a 6 speed.
With that said though if you want Civic Si but want a hatch, the Integra Base will be the car for that person. I used to have 1994 GSR I used a daily with a helical LSD Type R springs/shocks and bolt ons. The day before I sold it.

DEFINITELY. That's going to be JUST the ticket for many people. As for us, we'll probably stick to the lowest trim Civic we can get our hands on. I checked out a 2022 sedan the other day and was pretty impressed! Price was surprisingly low too for the current insane car market. Base model with hubcaps but still. Not bad all things considered. All it needed was a stick shift and we'd be sold. Thus, why we have our eyes on the hatch, as MT is only available for them and not the sedan, but at least they're allowing you to get it with either motor choice, so it's not just base model or top trim this time around! SI is stick only!!! As is tradition.
I bet that new Integra's going to be a great car, though! Like you said, might be it for those who are looking at the SI but want a hatch. I wonder how accurate this teaser render is?

I would say that is spot on.
The Motor Choice for the base(maybe called A spec) is the Si 1.5l Turbo with the 6 speed LSD trans. The upper models will use some variation of K20 found in the top accord, TLX, RDX, and CTR. The Civic/Integra Platform does have provision for it to be AWD, and Honda actually makes an AWD Civic Type R 3 door with Redbull for Rally cross. The issue with that is the transmission is a sequential, not a DCT or Manual. They could also achieve AWD with a hybrid set up and then have true torque vectoring. AWD for the integra is just a rumor at this point but if they want to charge more than a CTR for it my guess is AWD will be a way to justify it.
In other small fun cars coming to the USA, Toyota is supposely bringing a GR corolla over that should be AWD and stick with 250+ HP. I am honda guy though, from my families business to working for Honda just after college. With that said the GR should be be way cheaper than the Integra. I rather have it over a Golf R and its VW electronics.

Well, it looks like you've got it on the road, which isn't its natural habitat. So, not totally unexpected, yeah?

You could always put a Honda motor in the TR6, then it wont break down
Seriously though that thing is really nice.

it has been done in spitfire, I mean anything can be done. To be fair the K20 or K24 are better motors than the F20 or F22C found in the S2000.
LS swap is not all that crazy but quite frankly even a K series will probably make that thing fly. A naturally aspirated K20A with bolt ons and Hondadata would put 250 hp to the wheels......

I’m trying to decide which appendage I’d chop off with a rusty ladle to own this car.

My friend has a red one. And he's got the new one as well. I've driven the older one. It's all business. It's real low, like lawnmower engine go kart low.

New Z-06 out yesterday. While I’m not a Vette guy, I have been watching these C8s whip shit in IMSA for the past couple years and I’m impressed - apparently the most powerful N/A V8 ever in a production car. Seems like GM finally leveled up. (Not that the C7s were slouches either).
It does strike me as funny how the two Americans went after the supercar market though. Ford with low production unobtanium and GM with the supercar for the masses.I still call it The Jake.

I'm not a Vette guy either but I think it's the front engine <C8, yellow Indy pace car shit with Chevy Camaro interiors that made me not a Vette guy. This new one has changed my mind.
