IG! I remember that car. I was jealous of you and stump with your fancy turbos.

Norse, can I get right of first refusal on that thing when you sell?
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Had the motor out couple weeks ago... clutch, rear main, catless uppipe, yanked oil line screens, timing, ps pump, valve cover seals. Thing is driving well, stoked.
    Nice ride.

You had one of these? What color was it? Crazy how rare they are w/ 3 pedals.

    Thanks, Buster.

I was looking around for something like your S4 Avant... almost went to look at a clean V8 in Portland with recent timing chain job but it didn't fit the budget. I think you said you had seen the same one.

Then almost grabbed a black 2.7tt Allroad but got wigged out on the murky maintenance.

This one popped up in Portland while we were already making a trip through the state so I lucked out as the first to meet the guy. I already know Subarus fairly well so it was sorta "the devil you know" decision.

PNW car, zero rust, $4k. Good results on compression and leakdown solidified the keeper status.

Our s4 has 155k on it; it's taken some maintenance to the tune of $2k/year, but still runs great. I have my eye out for another low mi one and have toyed with the idea of buying a trasher and rebuilding it.

The 03 allroad member of the fleet is suffering some weird lock problems that appear to be ridiculously expensive to fix, so we may set that one free. I'm told Viking funerals are frowned upon now.

The 06 V70R with 150k just completed another round trip through Silverton, compl33t with 2 cats and several trips around there. Great car, incredible mileage.

The 99 A4 lost the drivers window, so I'll get that fixed and drop another k on it, but it's been such a great car with 205k on the clock.

Wow it’s crazy how much better the touring version of the e36 looks than the sedan. Especially in Alpina form.

There's a pretty sweet '09 a4 avant for sale in North Hampton, NH if anyone is looking. I have no affiliation with Ford or Hundai, I just own the same car and my parents live down the street.

Mine was purchased after the oil consumption test and piston ring service, just like this one (based on description) and it's treated me pretty well.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
