Dude who built the dodge 440 for my RV was the first guy to pop 200 mph on the water. Ernie is his name.

2 of the unlimited drivers this weekend at Seafair, J Micheal Kelly & Jamie Nilsen, I raced with/against in stock outboard hydros and runabouts. Me and JMK have played bumper boats at 50-60 mph many times

I looked it up as I was gonna give kudos to the producer ... turns out it's legit.

I bet you Charles says slipt, instead of slipped

Here he is surviving a speed record attempt, at 200 mph. I was there, on the log boom, getting hammered as usual. It being Seafair race day today, I kind of feel out of touch, the classic boat sponsorships long gone, Miss Bud, Atlas Van Lines, Squire Shop.

I remember the days in Tricities before the 200 mph hair dryers took over. Coming out of turn for to start the heat, 6 boats side by side, thats when I figured out where the name "Thunder Boats" came from!
