That was hilarious. What a smokeshow she was.

And those Conan years were the best.

    Norm Macdonald RIP

He did a bit at a stand up show in sf that was getting taped for hbo and started one of his “norm rants” about the gay pride parade. it was just fantastic to see him delight in making everyone super uncomfortable as he reeled them in before he eventually let them off the hook. Fucking master

He reminds me a little bit of Rickles in that he played a super ascerbic persona but actually had a huge heart and helped a ton a people

Part of the reason I love Norm so much is that he was, by all accounts, a down-to-earth, good fucking dude.
    https://www.newyorker.com/humor/dail..._medium=social

That, and the fact that he never cared about commercial success. He did the comedy he wanted to do and loved it. And if someone else didn't love it, he didn't give a fuck.

Very sad. Celebrity deaths don't usually bother me too much but this one is hitting. Maybe because he's a fellow Canadian, or something about the stoicism of fighting cancer privately, or dying at such a young age.

    RIP Norm

Would love to hear him do a routine about his present situation and how he got there.

I'd imagine it'd end something like, "And then the poor bastard died!"

Damn it. The world is fundamentally less funny than it used to be. I mean... fuck...

Ohh too slow!! Man I’m getting seriously out dipshitted today.

Brings a smile as I used countless Macdonald quotes to massively trigger Bennymac in the past. So much so that hes still massively triggered years later.

Norms farewell thread is icing on the cake.

    Love you Norm!

That Saget roast bit was comedy gold. So meta. Always liked his Letterman appearances in particular. A comedian’s comedian as the cliche goes.

I thought he was older than 61. Seemed like he’d been around forever.

    RIP.
