I wouldn't mind if there was never fresh powder or sunshine on Saturdays (let alone both), the combination of either with a Saturday, draws all manner of idiots who otherwise seem to be absent. People parked so that there was barely enough room to squeeze my truck through on the road by L2.

Maybe that's why there are so many 4 plates in the parking lot at Disco? I've been wondering why they would make that choice versus the Bowl ...
(1/2/09 was sweet there btw - snowed a couple of inches during the day on top of 6" the night before, on top of 6" the day before, on top of 4" the day before that)Why must I feel like that, why must I chase the cat?

Ok self confessed JONG. Im an Aussie so Powder is a mythical beast. Hit Utah/JH last season and darn at times I look real good on the "official" holiday vid but I still need powder lessons.
Do I just hit it really fast and stop thinkin about the consequences of fucking it up?? Im good at steep but a bit sort of sad where the powder flattens it out-a lot.

There's gotta be somebody who has it, but nobody I know of.
In the meantime, this ought to provide a few laughs - http://www.slap-shot.com/audio.htmWhy must I feel like that, why must I chase the cat?

Have you ever been to the Bowl? He's pretty hard to miss, considering he looks exactly like his namesake. Good luck getting in front of him in the morning lineup, though.

Today was interesting. 4" reported but obviously more. It was like cream cheese...or gelato. Faceshots were possible but slightly painful. Kind of hard work to ski, but fast and smooth.
I bet it's gonna rain up there tomorrow.

It has been a great week at the bowl indeed. I think there was significant snowfall post morning measurement today.

The past week has been awesome.
It was much heavier today than it has been all season. There were some lines which provided exceptions, but for the most part it made you work hard, no dancing through the fluff.
I sure hope it stays cold above 4500 feet. Regardless, I can see the road getting messy.I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. -אלוהים אדירים

Meh, it wasn't too good. Sure there was some cream up top, but half of your bowl run ended up being manky as hell. It was raining in the parking lot. We need colder temps.

Icelantic will be at Montana Snowbowl on Tuesday, January 13th. We have the entire line of skis with alpine and tele demo bindings. The demo is free and we are pumped to come back to Snowbowl, hopefully the temp will drop and the snow will keep coming. Spread the word to all of the locals to come charge on the skis!
