$400 for skis is reasonable when skis retail for $400.
$175 for a $50 ticket is goofy.
And re: Hampton, I'm sure the putz's who spent $1000 had a good time. They were surrounded by other choads who thought $1000 was reasonable. Me? Not interested in spending the weekend with people like that.

But why the automatic assumption that someone who spends that much is automatically a putz? Value judgments, Pinner. You're a curmudggeon, but you are also better than that.
edit to add: if you are so caught up in the other people at the show and what they paid for a ticket, cannot get past that and enjoy the music, then I feel sorry for you.

Value judgment on something that creates an unhealthy state of affairs in my industry? Absolutely.
If the douchebags dropping $1000 on a ticket didn't support scalping, prices for all tickets would return to a normal level and you'd have a fairly balanced representation in the crowd. Instead you've got a sea of same.

I will most likely be rolling to sunday with my buddy who is coming in for the shows (although I am hearing he might not go to all 4, so I might be able to get his extras!!)
Either way you should roll with us.

It's finally starting to hit me that I'm going to see my favorite band at my favorite venue, AGAIN! It's been a LONG 13 years.

PayPal approved me a $500 credit limit (lol), so I just pulled the trigger on a Thursday from StubHub.
I'm 3/4!!!
Maybe I should just say fuck it and get a friday too, and not have to worry anymore.

Love the FAQs
Will my cell phone work out there? It's a crapshoot. Signal strength may vary depending on your provider's coverage and the whim of Craig, our telecom systems engineer, who can be a total dick.

Can I blog from the concert field? Bring a computer inside? Sure, but if something happens to your computer, that's on you, nerd. We assume no responsibility for lost or damaged Twitter machines. #phishwebsitejokes
I will not be able to get there until 3 AM on Sat. morning. Is this going to be OK? What's so important you can't get there until 3?
It's a family issue, and I don't feel comfortable sharing it with the Internet. Sorry, didn't mean to pry. Yes, camping gates will be attended 24 hours a day throughout the event from Thursday - Sunday.
Where do people that are staying with me in my RV but driving up separately park for the weekend? A separate companion parking area will be provided. For young people and their companions.
Can young people camp without companions? No. Young people must always camp with their companions. Companions, however, can camp alone.

Yeah dude, myself and several others are literally flying in from all corners of the globe to see Phish at RR. Only 1 of us got tix at face...and the flights alone from the places we are flying from are expensive. Does that make me a choad? I really don't care what you think, but as far as I can see, I'm just a person with some really screwed up priorites, that is willing drop everything to go see my favorite band, at one of the best venues in the world, with friends I don't get to see often, and just absolutely have a blow out weekend. If you don't like fun....please do not come to a Phish show.

Considering Halloween is basically the slowest time of the year for me I will most certainly be attending the indio shit show!
Thinking about being Jimmy Herring for halloween. White pony-tail....epic white beard. Flannel shirt + jeans. Blow-up guitar.

Maggot meetup sounds like a good idea. Lower South 1? Thats where I always park, although everyone seems to have a different preference.
