How about a convincing argument to SCOTUS that the 2nd was intended for addressing the STATES' need to defend against Federal tyranny... not the individual, UNREGULATED need to feel better..

In states with Extreme Risk Protective Orders aka Red Flag Law, authorities can take guns away

Alas Michigan has been unable to pass a law authorizing ERPOs

That’s not even newsworthy! Those kids should’ve been armed!

If only there was something we could do...

I have said it for a while: gun enthusiasts should be able to articulate why the right to bear arms is still relevant in today’s world. If only to reaffirm the goodness and reasonableness to protect the right. As seen in that video, they can not. Just one compelling reason. That’s all he had to do to get Stewart to shut up. But it is indefensible outside of the gun cult who actively ignore the violent baggage that is part and parcel of their enthusiasm.

There is a common understanding on both sides of this issue that firearms are inherently dangerous. It’s a basic understanding of what a firearm does. But they refuse to have an honest conversation about it because it makes the whole issue indefensible. That guy tried and got his ass handed to him. So all the gun lobby can lean on is cultural wars (rural/urban divides) and parsing the 2A down to one fragment of its whole statement. Even in the confines of pro-gun discussions, you don’t hear sensible reasons to increase gun access. The reasons given all increase public danger to the benefit of an individual (which we learned in kindergarten is called “selfish”).

^^^Because the compromised, bought and paid for SCOTUS also ignored 75% of the letter of the law.. basically empowering those morons to believe they are right.. according to the highest level of US Justice System, they are..

Plus people who don't want to risk losing their CCW/CCL aren't likely to report to the police when a gun is stolen from their UNLOCKED car. They just eat it and go buy another one.

Welcome Nashville to the school shooting party. Was that Bobby Stainless's kids school?

I almost fell over when I read 'female suspect'. How this unfolds is going to be different.

    It's a tragically, disturbing world.

The way you phrased that last part is not a good look or a kind one.

Hate this for those poor kids and adult's families.

    Sick of this shit.

    Sure.

Not sure what you are even getting all worked up over here.

Do you think the interview was factually false or are you just upset at how the editors made it look like John ripped up your buddy?

I've enjoyed Stewart for many years, the other guy is not my buddy, not worked up al all, just pointing out the editing was crafted to make the dude look more stupiderer..
