Just grabbed a new Ripmo v2. Carbon wheels being built now, should be ready for a spin next week!

Everyone’s seen this, but I got a 2day demo from the local Trek store:

One work: Rocketship! Also: the lockout (twist to lock...button unlock) was way more intuitive (to me) than the lever-type Scott uses.

I think this might be the next bike!

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

    Aha.
Makes perfect sense now, I had never seen the phrase as an acronym before.

I've got a new Ripley with my name on it waiting to be picked up once we can access the warehouse again!

GF has a Ripmo v2 in the shop waiting on some lingering parts, and I have a Banshee Titan frame inbound. If Helena hadn’t gotten a foot of snow last weekend I’d be a lot antsier to get them built up.

Riding a Ransom 910 this season. Pretty fired up. Torn between upgrading the fit4 to a grip2 or just waiting for the fox38 to come out...

Supposedly the 36 is getting revised as well, for whatever that's worth.

Saw a picture somewhere that definitely showed revised lowers. Knobs looked the same as Grip2, but no idea if they changed anything internally or not.

Since single crown forks seem to be approaching "fuck it, we're going to five blades"-territory, what's the over/under on RockShox bringing back the Totem?

One crown is the equivalent of 2, or at most, 3 blades. To reach 5 blade territory, they're gonna need to make an enduro specific dual crown. They should call it the future shock.

Only if it uses a proprietary crown that only comes in stupid long lengths, and the whole thing explodes if exposed to direct sunlight or a stiff breeze.

Stoked for this thing. A little more down country than my usual bike, but I kept the rowdy bits, 200mm rotor up front, codes, 140 fork, 2.6 tires.

The lines of that v4 Ripley are sexy AF. Beats the look of my v3 by mile.

2020 bikes that make your shorts tight

That’s a sick build. And that color looks amazing in person.

I assume/hope you're referencing the extremely prophetic Onion article here?

Yep. Not completely analogous since the Totem previously existed then went away. But, Manitou went to 37 mm stanchions, Fox is going 38 mm, so the logical step for RockShox is to skip right over 39 mm and bring back the Totem's 40 mm tubes.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on one of these after the move...
