Just like how someone way, way down on their luck might send their last dollars to a Nigerian prince with a fortune to recover. Totally understandable! And yet, not likely to help matters for them.

But according to you, it’s a lot simpler than that… It’s my fault that they increasingly support fascism and oligarchy, because I say unkind things about idiocy like this anti-vax trucker nonsense.
Wait. Did you just say only the Republicans sold them "down the river"? After Clinton's NAFTA and accelerated financialization of our economy? After Clinton obliterated Glass Steegall? And then, Obama, Mr. Hopey Changey, immediately installed bad actors from the financial fraud/crash on his cabinet and rolodex and didn't prosecute one fucking banker or ratings agency for obvious crimes of fraud and grift? Not one? Not even, say, that greaseball Mozilo? So, you're actually trying to say it was just the Republicans? For fucks sake.

^ Uh, no. Their beloved Republicans sold them down the river BEFORE, not after, Bill Clinton co-opted, “triangulated”, his way into the same agenda.

As I think you realize, I’m not a fan, at all, of DLC/ centrism/ Neoliberalism/ Third Way’s influence and control of the Dem party.

What I’m objecting to here is this idea that middle class conservatism is basically a bunch of house cats, who will jump out the window at night to be eaten by coyotes at the first opportunity. And when they do, it’ll be the Democrats’ fault for not making them grilled salmon every evening.

And always remember that, for every you and me that wants to see a more progressive Dem party, there are ten media buffoons arguing that Biden needs to “reach across the aisle” etc. And the exact reason why that bullshit persists, is that America’s house cat conservatives keep voting for candidates who want them to jump out the window and get eaten.

It's a fucking protest vote, is my point. They don't like Trump either. Well, most of them. But what they really hate is being insulted, talked down to, and lied to by anybody. Trump never did that. The Dems do it all the time.

Edit: Well, he did lie. He does that like the rest of us breathe.

    Yikes. What Steezus said.

As for their perpetual “protest vote” loyalty to the crew that wants to consume their carcass: Like I said, class struggle is hard; therefore take it seriously. Choosing candidates based on critical race theory and anti-vax nonsense isn’t taking anything seriously. Stop being urge-driven house cats.

Every populist instinctively knows that the deep yearning of failed people is to be told that there is a 'they' who is responsible for their misery and short comings. Scapegoating along racial lines is typical. Repeat this lie as often as possible.

It is for this reason that populists never bring about any solutions... their movement an ugly lie and merely shifts from one dishonest grievance to the next.. looking to find another 'they' to blame. An empty shell game. The only thing populism does is change who is in power and they always fuck things up.

Truth isn't what they're after, they want to be absolved and they want blood. Ultimately, it doesn't matter whose.

Hey, whatever, you can explain it away and this and that, but, all I know is, we're on a freight train to fascism, and I see nothing stopping it. The DNC and old guard, including Biden, of course, he's about as old guard as they come, still have no clue why the people voted for Trump, and many, including her, of course, are still blaming that on Putin. This is what this new "war" is all about. Revenge for '16, and a bunch of military men who are trying to prove they have balls after Afghanistan, just like they whipped it out after 'Nam, never pausing to reflect.
What is Biden doing to win a second term, or prove that another Dem deserves the vote? Nothing. Golden opportunity to show that they are the party of the people, and, jackshit. Because, they aren't. "Nothing will fundamentally change" was Biden's deplorables moment to money men, and he's right. It's like Trump never happened, and everything will go back to the 90s.
We were lucky with him. He was too stupid and vain and lazy to do real harm. Theres some real smart prick about 23 who was watching that, thinking, I can do so much better. That's the one we have to worry about. And we ain't doing squat to prevent that. Just the opposite.

    CanaStan Antivax/Truckers Protest in Ottawa.

^ Uh, thanks I guess. But the funny thing is, I don’t entirely disagree with Bunny. Dems need to stop being the business as usual party.

This whole trope, though, about how Dems need to reach out to more and never bad-mouth the “fuck your feelings” cranks, that progressives will win if only we glad-handle better the people who hate progressives, is ridiculous.

I mean, it would be nice if one pure-good leader could just fix things for the faded middle class, all while the house cats occupy themselves playing around with idiot issues like vax free-dumb. Would be swell! But it’s not going to happen as long as their own “protest votes” keep dragging the whole system more in the direction of plutocracy.

Not to mention blocking the border. So yes, freeze their fucking funds. I am not a fan of Trudeau, and I believe that people should be allowed to protest, and i support any protest, but this was something else and this image you posted, benny, is fucking idiotic.

Conservative populists are making their move in Canada. Building upon a core of disaffected rednecks, and abetted by right wing (alternative and social) media, Poilievre is gambling he can exploit the discontent of enough entitled suburbanites with his calculated demonizing of elites, and cynically simplistic horseshit about Covid public health management and macro economic policy, to ride back into power as Harper 2.0. IMO most Canadians want boring competent governance, and so the Liberals just need to hold their nerve, not do anything stupid, and this moment will pass.

Well this is turned in to a US thread somehow. Anyway there was a 20 ft letter high FREEDOM snow stamp out on way to hill. I changed it to FREEDUMB. Then they came back and changed to back by stamping out my B into a lopsided heart. Now what to do. Wife said change heart into cock and balls, "Yay that might work" she quickly didn't like that option.

thinking BBEEDUM though there might be enough snow to change heart into a B again?
