Leaf blower isn't doing shit, see Newton's 3rd law.

Not exactly. The bulk of the energy being applied is indeed cancelled out by being opposed within itself. But the leafblower is exerting a force into the umbrella, and some of which is very inefficiently redirected backwards (mostly sideways really, but let's grant that it's possible that there's a small net reverse force vector) by the umbrella. Of course, a leafblower is a weak stand-in for a jet engine, and the umbrella's scattering of that force applies it poorly (just pointing it backwards would have been a more effective use of this feeble "jet"). Anyway, yeah, obviously a downhill is the reason why he is maintaining enough speed to overcome road friction (oh wait, Florida; so maybe a tail wind could have helped too).

I don’t have a leaf blower. One of you guys that do should try it out and report back.

In the link posted by EWG above it looks like there’s a tow line of sorts poorly edited out in some of the longer video.

How does it violate thermodynamics? It converts electrical energy into mechanical energy (the movement of the bucket) and heat (the leaf blower gets hotter and there's friction between the wheels and axles and wheels and the ground. when the battery runs down he stops.
Wouldn't work. He'd go too fast and crash.
It also wouldn't work with an American umbrella--it would shred.

I keep forgetting to try it, I don't have a mop bucket so figured I'd try with a skateboard and golf umbrella. I'll post up when I get to it. I know it'll work, I just know it

If the air exits the umbrella backwards then there's a net forward thrust. But which way is the intake facing?
