Hey guys, can we go easy on quoting 12 pictures over and over again? Just like, quote the post and delete all the image links or maybe leave in the one you like the most.

Anyway here's a picture from one of my recent rides.

I might have already posted it but I can't tell because there's like 30 of the same pictures on the last two pages.

Go forth and ride, then bring back pics

Sedona kind of reminds me of the PNW a bit. Obviously the riding is totally different but even the easy trails are hard. In a good way.

*this pic taken on one of the few spots without rocks on the trail. Seemed like a good spot to check out the view.

This thread makes it look dry everywhere! Here is western Oregon on 12/10. Cold and dry. Went for a walk yesterday near McKenzie river area, trails about as hero tack and smooth as they can get right now ... strange times for mid December.

Haha no I pedaled the closed road back to the top. Much needed to get back in shape for ski season.

Switchbacks were brutal! I had spent an hour in the sauna at our Airbnb right before the ride, and was so friggin' lightheaded trying to wallow my way up those. At least the pain is quick...

Rode Spencer Branch Saturday. Another fun one although Kitsuma is still my favorite of the few I've done around here. Psyched to come back next spring.

Yeah, SO DUSTY, and windy thurs and sunday too. The six inch deep dust on Smithsonian Butte rd. had me worried about getting my Van back up it. Turned out no issues but still, bikes were totally crusted.

How did the chinbar fare? Still a different color than your helmet?

It's actually the upper that's a crash replacement. Don't feel like I've ever really tested the 2R chin bar. As far as I'm concerned, it's a 'fake full face', I figure still better than nothing though. This was supposed to be a pedaling trip, haha! I'll be replacing it with the new Super DH as soon as they come in. Looks like it might be a true quiver of one helmet. We'll see.

I like it. I like it a lot.

It's probably the best climbing bike I've owned. Which is surprising given that it's got a 64 degree HA and weighs 34 lbs. It tractors up techy, punchy, ledgy stuff and seems to still be faster on flat xc'ish stuff (according to strava) than my carbon scout was. I'm 5'11 and on a L and the climbing position feels absolutely perfect for me. I noticed the other day while climbing some steep tech'y stuff that I no longer find myself inching as far forward on the seat as possible, where I'm normally seated feels perfect even when things get pretty steep.

No surprises on the down, it's about how it looks on paper. Super stable, likes to go fast, handles chunky stuff really well. I'm still getting the suspension dialed in but after adding some tokens in the fork and the shock I've got it almost where I want it to be where it's has a good mix of playful and plow. It feels a lot like the scout but better when things get rough and a little less tossable. I'm not sure there's any real magic with SBG as far as it feeling like a "game changer" or anything like that. I do feel like I can get over the front of the bike more than I did on the scout but is that SBG or is that the bigger wheels?
