I know it's a totally different car, but the rear louvers are very reminiscent of the Testarossa.

This. And someone buying 100k cars doesn't just walk into a Toyota dealer. They have personal contacts/relationships with guys like Bobby.

Right, but what's the markup on the $100k car gonna be if it's that bad on the RAV4???

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

I can see a car like that charging up those narrow-ass icy roads on your way to the top of Snowshoe.

I'd imagine a guy with a car like that would get to the top and just spend the morning doing gravel lot donuts before crushing Bud Heavys in the lodge the rest of the day.

I'm not sure where you fit 184's. I was thinking more a snowboarder's car.

Cool. I was referring to other stores in the same general area as that RAV4.

Why not buy a $250 one way plane ticket and fly somewhere without the $40k charge and drive the RAV4 home. Leave Friday home bySunday night

Couple hundred on gas and you just saved yourself $39,500.

Just looked up my local Toyota dealership, no RAV4 sucker markup (at least online).

Your local dealership has a RAV4 Prime in stock, at MSRP? Where?

    I only see Premium.

Thought they were the same. Guess not.

The Prime is their plugin hybrid version of the RAV4 - it's got a 40 mile electric-only range and does 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. It even beats the Supra in a few different speed tests.

Toyota only made 5k of them in 2020, and 20k (expected) will be delivered this year. They're selling like hotcakes.

    Wow.

Still a RAV4 at the end of the day but nice.

Wife just bought a new Hybrid CRV Touring model. Not impressed. 29mpg average around town and when I hit the EV button it lasts a few minutes full electric before it converts back to gas.

    Not a plug in though.

Haven’t done a road trip to test but the advertised 40mpg seems a stretch.
