I snuck off for some bonus vert after the old guys went back to the car for more cigars. Witnessed my first grouse bomb on the way up for run #3, fortunately at a safe distance.

The top of the line, never before skied from this high up (to my knowledge)

Somebody had set a skintrack up to just below my drop in point, then turned around and skied down the uptrack... poor dude. He was so close to the goods, and didn't even know it.

Some grade A stoke and then some the last several pages and dare I say, no bitching!

Those bowl pics are scary and awesome at the same time, glad it went overnight.

My trip to CO this week for snowboard nationals unfortunately got axed due to Jr's ruptured acl 2 weeks ago. If anyone is interested in a very nice 2 bdrm slopeside condo at Copper for a great price PM me for details, open 3/28 thru 4/6...guaranteed it's going to dump out there again at some point during that week+!

Much appreciated Rob, she'll be better than new in about 8 months.

It should be mentioned that the Stowe is measuring 120” as of March 25...

You can thank the tibial plateau fracture maggots for that one (me and t-the-east)!

Dam dudes the stoke in here looked good on my phone screen, but couldn't wait to look at it on the big work screen. Solid contributions from all.

Was pretty surreal being only 5 up there with rare visits from ski chic chocs or the odd nordic tourists stopping by from a hut tour. I guess the wet forecast scared people off. Not a raindrop fell.

A big contributor to our soundtrack while there:

Bummer. That acl injury is so common in young girls these days. She'll be good as new in no time though.

I'm sure the wifey would love to see you to head to CO for a little snowboard trip, no?

Thanks man, damn slopestyle events! I tried to talk her out of skipping this one with nationals coming up but as usual, nobody in this house listens to my suggestions.

I tried that one, believe me...denied without hesitation. When I told her I might go anyway she said, "send me the address when you get there and I will have all your stuff sent out." I thought about it for a few seconds

ID:	275981 Nice day for a few laps, Yesterday’s wind helped fill in a bit of fluff.

FD, while my wife was pregnant with our 2nd, I was secretly planning a trip to the Revelations. At about 7 months pregnant I brought up the trip, “it would be twenty days, and we’ll both be on parental leave, perfect timing.” She came back with “if you go, better put everything in something water tight, it’s going to sit on the lawn waiting for you to pick it up!” At least your wife offered to ship your stuff for free.

The conditions at the Mighty look awful similar to the Sun Mtn today. Not a cloud in the sky and supple snow over a substantial surface.

    Where's Jonathon?
    I was there!
    Well, long after it happened:
    https://www.facebook.com/NERandoRace...03021046405791
Didn't take any pics of it early Sun morning since our view was somewhat obscured by blowing snow.
But it still looked pretty ... big!
I suspect it got dinged on its R rating b/c although "connected from Lower Sluice through Center Bowl and all the way to Chute" is probably full width for that "path" it nevertheless fell short on the length:
"We think a soft or wind storm slab avalanched on Friday prior to this avalanche, running into the top of the Little Headwall. This hard slab avalanche doesn’t appear to have run as far, with chunky debris high in the runout [...]"

“When estimating the relative size of an avalanche, remember that you are trying to compare the current avalanche with the largest avalanche that path could produce. The size is not just the proportion of the start zone that released.”

I went bib, no shirt. My tan is amazing. And Skyeship does enable the occasional after work couple of laps. Indeed, I took laps.
